    Very reluctant sale, hence the tone of this thread. Vintage icon V4 P bass, reliced sunburst, modified with a custom fit anodized gold scratchplate and squier JV series pickups (yes those ones). Result is a superb p bass with a nice low action, which blows a mex fender out the water. Very lightweight instrument too. Instead of the JV's, i can have a MEC active pickup fitted (recently bought, actually not received yet) for a little more. Pics can be supplied upon serious interest, but for now check out my thread in the gear porn section, which has a selection of pics. £160 posted in UK.     Very reluctant sale, as you may tell from the tone of this thread, due to financial problems. Good condition, no box. Comes with maplins AC power supply, and the original power supply which has a snapped earth pin. My comments and sound sample of this fantastic pedal can be found in the effects forum. £130 with maplins supply, £120 without.

    In summary, if you see a jap one going cheap or same price as the Taiwanese, buy it for its value, but don't bother paying over the odds for one, simply is not worth it.

    Collectors like to imagine the jap ones sound better, but in reality there is no difference between any of the models.

    how on earth has the wait got to 3 years??! Thats longer than most boutique luthiers, and surely demand can't be [i]that[/i] high when you consider the rrp of these instruments for what they are! Anyways, good luck with the sale, although i dont think you need it

    i can't think of many genuine reasons why somebody [i]wouldn't[/i] want tone control options on their bass? I currently only own 1 passive bass, and i miss actives sorely. Out of interest, do you passive bassists run your amps eq flat as well? If not, then i ask what is the difference between altering eq on the amp and on the bass, apart from the obvious conveniance of being able to change your eq on the fly?
