1. from my experience, they do not update things on their website very well. Last time i enquired about something, it had sold quite a while ago.
2.
After some quick research, it seems the Mullard ECC82 is the one to get, so when I'm back from hols & got to grips with the Zoom, I'll give one a try...(I think the 12AX7 is a different valve, ie different specs.).
ah yes, didnt check, a 12ax7 is a ECC83, but i think it would still work with the zoom, just be a higher gain sound? But yeah the ECC82 is what you want, which you should find cheaper as they are not as sought after
3. mullard 12ax7?? Had one in a dha pedal i used to own, VASTLY improved the tone Obviously long discontinued, but you should be able to pick one up on ebay for £20 odd, just make sure it has been tested.

PM's

think its a 1 minute (or maybe 2) gap between each pm you send, otherwise no limit i dont think
5. i briefly owned the 4 string version of this earlier this year, got it for an absolute bargain, lovely bass with a very fast neck. I bet this is rather good too, don't let the wooden neck fool you, they are great status basses
6. gunna need a few more clues mate, especially considering there's no budget!
7. bump 1 daisy chain, the xlr cable, and the midi cable remain, along with the wilko pickup
8. anyone got any spare chrome ones lying about? Using a pair of cheap hardware screws at the moment, would like something that matches a bit more il of course pay postage

10. personally, stingrays piss all over any jazz bass Does yours have the mute bridge? 2 band?
11. yeah, sounds like a pickup issue. Just try raising it on the G side to see if it makes a significant difference, if not your gunna have to invest a bit of money into a new p pup, unless you get it rewound?
12.
Looks good mate
cheers! I have a thumb rest on order too now, still not sure if il bother with the bridge cover Edit: some pics with the thumb rest...
13. the windmills are gorgeous!!
14. you should be able to tell by the feel of the d and g when you fret as to whether or not its a problem with the neck or the pickup. Simple way is to play unplugged. If unplugged the strings sound quieter/choked, then the neck still aint right. If it sounds normal, then your pup is buggered.
15. bought several bits and bobs off me in the last week or so, paid promptly and seems happy with my junk!
16.
That would look great with an ashtray bridge cover!

awesome stick a black thumbrest on there too
I may well do both of those things, although a brand new shiny chrome bridge cover wont fit with its look, and paying for a vintage one is well out the question.....
17.
Have these even been out for a year yet? You should be able to get a warranty repair on that if it's less than a year old!
+1!
18. the thomann ones look great!
19.
Looks lovely Kev..love the off white( is it off white) looks a little golden also.., with the matt body.. I wouldnt add a finger rest,... unless you need it..i love stripped down  great job bro
Its anodised gold, and it indeed looks fantastic with the matt sunburst Cheer for your comments! Couple more pics added.
20. beautiful, love the stingray
21. Plays great, sounds great, and looks great! Very happy with it and with the Bass Pod and some sawdust.. So it has a Fender 57' Anodised Gold 10 hole pickguard, and a set of pickups from a Fender Squier JV series bass. Took me 3 hours today to modify the scratchplate in the neck pocket with some needle files to make it fit, and had to put 10 new holes in the body, along with having to adjust the position of the pickup slightly, and my filing fingers are covered in blisters, but i think it was worth it Do i add the thumbrest? If so what colour? And btw, i like the relicing
22. probably difficult for people to make an offer as there are not many clues to its value really....perhaps put a rough ballmark figure??
