  1. using a comp for that is cheating, its all in the fingers using it to squash out unwanted peaks after the filter would be more sensible

  4. there is no rule of thumb, completly depends on the person, the sound wanted and the other pedals.

  14. ahh sorry to hear you didnt get on with the pulse synth man. Anyone that wants a 'real' bass synth, id recommend the pulse synth, dirty as f*** synthy tone, it would still be with me if i hadnt decided to sell everything but my bass
