1.
Ha ha parrot has huge cage and is mostly out of it (the cage) Thats his travel cage. Price goes up cos this is worth much much more than im selling it for, and after this week, i will not be in a hurry to sell, and thinking the later months will bring more fortune to us all, so more money. This bass is worth at least 3K New they are at 4K and will stay there cos its so rare.
Gotta be honest mate, i very much doubt you will get a sale on this if you raise the price like that, if its worth £2200 or whatever it is your raising the price to, you should have had it like that from the start. You cant get a sale at £1900, so you raise the price by £300??? Confuzzles me a little!
2.
I emailed him - he said it was a one-piece body, maple or maybe cherry. You lot are so cynical
or maybe its plywood
3. unless he has a load of shill bidding friends
4. okay, looks like i'm limiting my market too much by not giving a shipped price, so we will call in £180 shipped. cheers
5.
I promise to look after it!
you'll love it mate, i wouldnt be selling if i hadnt just bought a new comp! vesta still available, surely worth a punt??
6. don't bind the headstock unless you bind the neck with it, dont think it will look right otherwise
7. pulse synth and ls-2 sold, pending usual vesta still available
8. vesta and ls-2 are definatly now available, still waiting to here on the pulse synth
9. nah mate, as i said its to raise some cash cheers though
10. Just this left now, rest have sold. Vesta ovd overdrive distortion pedal. been flirting with selling this for a while. See here for description/pictures: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=39897&hl=vesta It is a very good pedal, much more of a distortion than an overdrive. No low end loss with bass turned up, plenty of gain available and the eq allows for many different voices of distortion. A cracking little japcrap gem of a pedal. Seen better days but in good nik. [s]£30[/s] now £22 shipped. Couple of guys iv emailed about the vesta and the pulse synth already, so they have first dibs, but il keep this updated. cheers
11. if you like the feel of it, go for the upgrades! both olp 5 models i have owned felt pretty cheap and nasty to me, particularly the second one, probably because i was directly comparing it to my stingray. But hey, if it feels great for you, stick a nord in there, and a john east pre and you'll have a cracker
12. just as i was considering popping you a pm its gone up to £350 on ebay, so i guess that means a sale on ebay now then rather than here??
13. really, you can stick anything under there, provided its firm enough to support the pickup, but soft enough so that you can move it up and down as you like
14. as a stone roses fan, consider me also a watcher
15. think he is after £280, looks a nice bit of bass
16. unlucky man, good on ya for getting that far though. Probably best you didnt get any further, talent rarely wins the program ironically, you would only have been beaten in the final by a rather talented dog or other such nonsence, good effort!
17. i dunno mate, but the way things are at the moment, i wouldnt mod one as they are going for silly money on ebay at the moment, keep it original unless you are 1000% sure you aint gunna sell any time soon
18. yeah, no player in a right state of mind would buy it to gig it, for alot of reasons, but its a pretty serious collectors item and you'll get someone willing to pay it.
19. mate pm a mod to get this moved, alot of people will miss this
20.
Out of interest, have you asked Rob Green for an estimate to restore it? If it's a reasonable amount it may help shift it to someone willing to have the work done. Also (& off topic) - your DP Osbourne, does it have a battery compartment on the back?

I've spoken to Rob at Status and he quoted about £300 to have the neck re-epoxied, fret dress, new strings and a setup.
21. ha i remember this on ebay, came very close to buying it, lovely
