1. Sad to hear mate. Im quite a way away in Bristol, but il keep an eye out in the local second hand music shops, just in case
2. bidder one, the origninal big bid, has never made an ebay transaction and is only bidding on this. Shill bidding? But that doesnt explain the other bidders... tis a very weird one
3. sounds like an OLP to me
4. fitting a nice vintage fender pickup in my icon next week
5. always been intrigued by these, what does it sound like?
6. gotta be the classic vibe jazz, or if its out of your budget the VMJ
7. i think its quite nice!
8. im gettin the pickup upgraded soon hopefully, after that i cant see me being able to find a fault in it
9. wow, smashing deal!!!
10. very recently bought myself a Icon V4, very happy with it!! Makes me wonder why people can spend thousands on a precision
11.
Uhmmmm. Is it a Stingray????
Yes... i always find the unique body shape and hedstock decal to be a giveaway bump for the vintage p, excellent value for money instruments
12. Don't think 'right, £1400 to spend on an amp...', why not just go round, try out as many amp heads as you can without considering price, and buy the one you like best, be it £500 or £1500

vintage icon v4

the stock pickup isn't the most powerful on the icon v4, but tonally i quite like it, although upgrading to a wizard pup would be great im sure. Im quite happy with the hardware, i like the aged bridge . I hate the fact iv bought it new as i know that il get nothing like when i sell it, but not selling is fine with me

yeah as i said i was impressed and it did easily match the MIM (and was a lot lighter too), just really inquiring about build quality really.
17. Tried one of these in the local soundcontrol/reverb yesterday, and was impressed with it. Played easily as well as the fender mim i a/b'd it with, but with a slightly weaker pickup. Otherwise its great, and against what i thought i really like the relic finish on it. However, for £199 im not sure whether its worth it, partly because im sure theres better on the second hand market for that price, and partly because as soon as i set foot outside the shop, it will halve in value! Anyone else got one? Iv seen quite a bit about the jaco esque vintage, but not too much about the P.
18. RATM is one of my favourite albums ever, you so rarely get so much passion locked into a music track like that, one of the only albums iv listened to that i can truly say blew me away.
19.
i get a nice p sound from my $$ with the neck pickup on single coil but it's not quite the same
haha, Warwick owners often buy their lumps of wood to impersonate fenders besides, this hideous hack up has a bridge humbucker!
20. must be one weird electronics package to create a p sound...
21. how can anyone be so deluded
22. Great bass, i owned the gt5 in black, great bass for the money, and a fantastic neck that plays as good as it looks
23. seems very nice, in bristol too. Bassassin??
