1. im not sure about members new to the site being allowed to enter into this, i mean if someone who signed up yesterday who nobody knows send the tenner and wins it, i wouldnt be best pleased! But of course then theres the decision of when a member is 'known' enough for him/her to enter..... complicated.
2. someone $%&£$£$!!%$ buy it!!
3. theres so many different ideas that could be used to explore this, its really good to see this kind of thing in a forum i quite like the idea above. I dont think getting 100 tickets sold should be a problem though really, even if 100 agree to pay and all dont, it shouldnt take long for the remainder to punt a tenner for a £1000 bass, should it?
4. never mind, sorted it
5. i think a video of ped picking the winning ticket would be good enough
6. this would be great to get your son who's likes to play army with his friends into the musical world
7. Iv pressed something on my keyboard or clicked like a madman, either way basschat seems a whole lot bigger, just like iv zoomed in or something, so text is bigger etc. Fine on other web pages so its a site specific thing, iv tried closing the browser to no effect. Help?
8.
Sweet dude, lets hope so! Best Of Luck if you're in! at least we can find solace in the fact that a bcer is going to be giving it a new home.
haha, 100/1 or not, with my luck i could be the only person in the raffle and lose
9. i think the forum administrator picking a piece of paper from a hat will be just fine
10. nice of warwick to supply the neck... *ducks*
11.
What on EARTH is that?
you'v got to be kidding me!
12. yeah but the person organising the raffle here isnt getting any gain out of it, he is getting £1000 for a bass worth £1000, no profit whatsoever
13. why dont 100 of us make a generous donation to basschat for £1000, and then the thumb bass is given out as a free prize to one of the people who donated, and then basschat can donate the money to the thumb bass owner as a thankyou..... see, stupid as it may seem, there are ways round these kind of things. Why is it different doing it for charity, which we'v already done?
14.
Same here.... would have much preferred a 3+2 rather than the 4+1... And a wider spaced bridge... Umm and a separate chromed control plate like on the 4's.. But apart from that.....
the seperate chromed control plate is the number one thing i don't like about stingray 4's, theres something about a pickguard and a control plate not touching that looks quite odd to me. And i find the sr4 headstock to look quite squashed!
15. thats a fair point, i dont think this could be a thing that would happen every week, as it wouldnt generate enough interest at £10 a ticket, but i guess cheaper basses would have cheaper tickets, say all raffles will cost 1% of the value??
16. if its kept to 100 tickets limit, and you will get all the money, that means knowone but you is getting any money right?? meaning that its just like selling a bass, so there shouldnt be any legal issues?
17. this is gorgeous, good luck with the sale mate
18. i love this idea, brilliant count me down for a tenner!
19. you tried a deep impact??
20. without properly checking, id definatly say call the friend.
21. someone play the "hey i live just a few miles from you, alright to pick it up this weekend?" card
