1. the aesthetics of a bass are pretty much on a par with its playability when im looking to buy. I dont care how good it sounds, i aint playing something that looks like its just come out of a curry eating alcoholic gorilla's arse as far as tone goes, all in the fingers and what is amplifying it.
2. just for those who are currency illiterate, that comes to about £2174 at todays exchange rate, + whatever shipping charge it might be (no idea from europe)
3. top of gloucestshire to lands end is all the south west, and im fairly sure its the biggest area in england
4. imagine if that had black body n neck binding....
5.
Was it a Wal then...?
indeed it was i think it was a ray 5 on a few tracks, but a ray 4 did not appear on the album
6. such a shame, blue pearl is beautiful in the flesh too just dont get the market, its all over the place pity he had to make the bssm comment though.......
7. good for you mate, these are worth every penny
8. this guy holds the record for the greatest comeback to someone questioning the originality of a bass, dude you seem like a legend come back
9.
Does anyone know if the Signal Pad could possibly be used with active basses, to make active-unfriendly fuzz pedals usable?
it only adjusts the volume of the signal. Volume has nothing to do with why active basses f*** up fuzzes, its all about the low impedance they have, and this unit does not raise impedance, so unfortunatly no, this wouldnt work for that
10. dont get me started on CSI. NEVER ask a real forensic scientist what they think of CSI...... if i get pedantic, switch the light on or drawing the curtains would disturb the scene, and possibly could disturb evidence the crime scene lights are brilliant for finding various types of liquids too.....
11.
Bring up the advanced edit option and click on the manage poll option and have a fiddle with that. If still no joy would you want me to start another thread with one?
btw, dont wanna start a mass debate (say that as one word ), but i nearly spat my guinness out reading your under avatar bit
12. my peavey grind and the contraversial P were both a little quieter when slapped, but my SUB was louder too

ha i always thought it was personal address......learn sumit new every day
14. see this is the kinda bass bash which id be up for
15.
Oh please do. ... but not just about the bad copying I want to know about the ink and a psych profile on the perp would be splendid.
i obviously cannot tell you anything about the ink from a photo, but using uv and various other lights would tell me whether or not it all dried at around the same time, or whether or not there were big pauses between each little stroke that the person did. And of course various chemical spot tests would tell me if it was all done with the same ink. And i aint a forensic psychologist
16. being a training forensic scientist, i can identify fake signatures from real quite easily, and i can tell you that is not genuine. Dare i bore you with details as to why? EDIT the list of problems with it is so large it actually makes me think it isnt a fake.... too hard to tell when its been signed on such a different surface at large size However i can tell by the way the ink has pooled that none of it was wrote coninously, it was all done line by line. Very obvious direction changes in the signature also show this. And then there the obvious things like the N and the O and the dot being completly different. It certainly wasnt 'signed' anyway
17. my stingray when my limiter is off is distinctly LOUDER when slapping...
18. i personally prefer the 3 eq, as i mess with the mids knob quite alot, certainly more than i touch the bass knob. However if i was buying new, id probably choose the 2eq, as the extra money you would spend getting a 3eq you will never see again, but i would never buy new
19. the standard guitar version is a beast on bass, so i can only imagine how good this must sound

Personal Address system, used by bands in gigs. They are in simple terms speakers being controlled by a mixer. Ever wondered why a singer and drummer don't have amps?? what in particular do you want to know about them?
21. shops will reduce the tax to 15% until xmas, and then will raise there prices by 2.5% in january, effectivly making the tax reduction redundant
22.
Could this be easily routed for a PJ configuration? if so I may be very very very tempted.
im not sure if you would have to get a different pickguard as it doesnt look like theres enough room in the normal p position, plus the routing would be messy, i dont think iv ever seen a jazz modded to a p/j before
23. awesome price
24. all good advice (well, most), i think i'll just see how it goes and see what cheaper replacement basses there are, i know il regret it, but theres no point in buying a ferrari to drive to work. had several pm's, working through replies now, cheers
