1. think he made it clear that it is just the neck for sale, and £250 confirms that! what kinda bargain do you think this is [edit: that was an answer to a deleted post, not to ray ) i highly recommend these necks, my stingray's neck transformed my ray into a very special instrument, and i wouldnt change it for the world. those led's are interesting!
2.
With all due respect, I can expect as much as I want. Whether that suits myself and the buyer is down to us.
fair enough anyways back on topic, someone trade this man a sr5!
3. fair enough, although in the current warwick decline you cant expect too much cash
4.
But it's not a single night, is it, if it's an "established venue". I'm 100% on the side of the neighbours here - it's the venue who are being selfish, by not caring about their neighbours as long as they are getting their payment. Well done the neighbours for getting the restrictions imposed. More people should complain more often.
sorry, but just no, not in this situation they chose to live in a house on the A1, they should not have made that decision if they don't like noise! also, chances are just as likely that they moved in whilst the venue was already there, so they should accept noise every weekend! i used to live behind a hotel that did weddings and bands, and there was no such sound restriction, and i don't think there should be. if your sayin that the venue are selfish for not worrying about the sound level, thats bollox, your calling the bride and groom 'selfish' for wanting a band to play at their wedding, the venue just take the fee for hiring the room or whatever, they dont choose the bloody band. and if your honestly suggesting that makes the bride and groom selfish for wanting to make their day special, and not the neighbours for wanting to enjoy coronation street, then we agree to disagree well done for putting up with those conditions mate
5.
Only GS10's? Why not get two DB810's or DG412's? Isn't this an imaginary and impractical dream rig or is it strictly sensible and boring?
lol very true, il have the 412's then
6. that warwick thumb 5 is a great trade deal, btw
7. an aggie db750 with 2 GS10's seems pretty tasty
8. how did you manage that?? keep an eye on ebay, theres often people selling screws for pickups failing that, email warwick, they may give you one for free
9. if anyone from bristol is going down and has room for a student and a bass, let me know
10. damn it for being 4 string! even so i'm still tempted by it, if this is still available once the loan is in next month you may here from me, but i daresay it will be sold by then

Setup

just a set up, no work done, £30 ish i guess
14. it all depends i hate the natural look of the first pic of the p bass you posted, but i love the last pic of the jazz very subjective really, all depends on the bass, what gunna look better on a BC Rich, matt black or natural?
15. yeah the SR5 is a fantastic looking instrument what is it you dont like about 5 strings? is it the B gettin in the way? the width of the neck?
16. ^^^ that would certainly sort a few problems out, it is annoying that people come on here purely to bag bargains and sell their stuff, there are a LOT, and some that have like 100 odd posts, but they are all purely in the bass or effects selling forum
17.
if it still sounds good to you and sits well in your band mix don't worry about it! it's all about what sounds good to you not what someone else tells you sounds good, that is unless you have really bad taste.
i wasnt telling him whether it sounded good or not, thats for an individual to decide, however its FACT that it loses alot of bottom end, and its pretty much fact that it would be lost in a mix
18. okay so the girlfriend has decided she don't want this anymore, so she wants rid precision copy, in decent condition no major blemishes to speak of, neck seems straight, seems to have a nice grain underneath the blue finish. the bass needs setting up for sure, its not been played for about 2 years. electronics seem fine. i think its an older model than what they sell now, could be good, could be bad, i'v no idea iv been as brutally honest as i can as for price? £50 also, i may be selling my OLP mm3 for spares/project. it wont come with a neck, it will just be the body with the oriiginal electronics, hardware etc. couple of scratches here and there. the neck pocket is modified to fit a 6 bolt stingray neck, the holes could be plugged but it might be worth considering. again, offers on that if anyone is interested. its currently fitted with my stingrays old neck, but i just dont play it £50 i MAY consider selling the stingray 5 neck with it if someone really wanted it, but id have to give that thought
19. the plum stain is my favourite, love it
20. a 36x10, whats the wattage of that!
21. im not making a new thread, so im gunna semi hijakk this one any recommendations for a synthy type fuzz that likes active basses? we're talking 'deeper underground' by jamiroquai or 'easily' by muse kinda tone
