1. lol mate i know everything about it, iv been trackin it since the early ideas were forming, i just dont think they are gunna get many buyers at that price. i personally think they should release a very limited few at half the price so the pedals are out there, and if they are as good as the hype, word will get round and they would sell much better.
2. light grit on a budget = bad monkey
3. transfer better between instruments??
4. lol what a mad price for such an ugly instrument, only a very serious collecter would consider spending that kinda cash surely
5. i think il pass on that one mate, but cheers for offer:)
6. great pedal, and a great guy to deal with
7.
Its all down to which compromises you want to make and what features you can't live without. Me I'll go for ease of use and consistency of sound and put up with a small loss of sonic fidelity. Also the compression/distortion/chorus/delay settings I use on one song won't always be appropriate for another, so I have three choices - a programmable unit, fiddling about with the controls on my pedal(s) between songs, or a separate pedal for each setting I need. Plus I wouldn't even look at a delay unit that didn't have MIDI sync as well as tap tempo. Our last lead guitarist had a floor full of pedals and was forever fiddling about with them trying to get "the sound he had last time" because invariably at least one of the knobs would have got inadvertently moved, but finding which one... Meanwhile I turn up with my rack, plug the bass into the front and the power and speakers into the back, call up the patch for the first song and I'm ready to go.
big +1 if you want two effects to sound the same with different basses for example, with individula units your gunna be messing round between songs to suit the bass your playing, whereas with a multi effect, you stomp to the next effect patch and your there
8.
Maybe less so, the majority of people would agree that one was red and one was blue, but occasionally you might get a colour blind person come along and claim that both are grey, or that one was grey and one was blue. Its the same kind of thing here, ask the vast majority of people if soundwise they'd prefer a multi effects unit or some well picked stomp boxes, most people choose multi effects over single units for reasons other than sound quality. I'm not using the 'colour blind' example as an insult to say you're 'tone blind' or anything btw, as I think it might appear like that. I'm just using it in the example to show how a seemingly objective argument can also be subjective, yet still fact.
a colour blind person may not be able to tell the difference between the two balls, but that wont change the fact that they are indeed red and blue. i can assure you i am not 'tone blind' and have gone through a lot of single effects unit, behringer to boutique.
9.
never used it then? the synth sounds are complete dog sh*t, but there's some great overdrives, distortions, and fuzz effects on it, as well as phasers and flangers and chorus effects, plus more. I challenge you to a fuzz off...
lol yup iv tried one and didnt like it, much preffered the gt-6b which i bought over it in the end, i just found it to be better all round on the effects front
10.
I'm not inclined to disagree with you, but I've used the other brands efforts too and none of them fared significantly better. It was always a case of tweaking the sound until it was 'good enough', whereas whenever I'm looking for a sound and I click on one of my stomp boxes its always an instant "OH yea, brilliant!" sensation. Multieffects would have me spending 30 mins tweaking settings and at the end I wouldn't feel like playing any more where as single effects are just click on, 10s adjusting dials and then inspiration.
i have to ask what multi effect took you 30 mins to set up one effect??
11. the balls being red and blue are fact, the sound quality of something in all cases is opinion the pod xt live is sh*te for effects imo, its mainly an amp modeller
12.
I thought that a multi effects unit would do everything I needed, until I actually got hold of some good stomp boxes. Wow, you just can't even compare. The best distortion sound I've ever heard is the Big Muff Pi (not tried the bass version but the guitar one in great enough on bass). Not exactly subtle though.
in your opinion iv been back and to with multi and individuals and i find theres benefits in both, and now iv decided that using multi effects for everything but distortion suits me great
13. repaired or not, id never spend that kind of money on a bass with that kind of neck damage
14. several ebay sellers selling at $99, interesting...
15. has the stupidly high price come down yet??
16. i think the only pedal i would ever need would be a b2.1u, iffffff i liked the distortions/overdrives i know iv heard other users do like them, but i havnt found a single distortion sound on it that i actually like, but im pretty picky maybe someone could suggest some settings that they think sound great to me?? (tom?? )
17. iv just fitted elixir 'nanoweb' coated strings 45-130tw to my stingray they seem fantastic, very well balanced punchy tone, and despite being coated sound very zingy and from what iv read they stay this way for quite a while before the tone dullens. they are probably the best strings iv ever used out of the box, now lets see how long this great tone lasts
18. i think i just prefer my odb-3. with them both on together it sounds pretty brutal! but ye just dont really need it
19. doesnt suprise me, that actually the first time iv ever seen a stingray copy with musicman decal on headstock, be it low quality. i imagine theres plenty of beginners out there who would like something like this, compared to say a Vintage copy with 'vintage' plastered on the headstock.
20. it looks like a burns defo not a jaguar i dont think
21. im looking to trade my ibanez distortion. lovely little pedal, can grab some muse'y tones that we all love, and theres a whole host of different distortion sounds with the mode and attach switches. pretty much mint condition, but no box just in case you don't know what it looks like: im just looking for trades on this for now. il listen to anything tbh, but i am in need of a boost pedal, be it clean or with a little dirt, and a compressor let me know if anyone wants it
22. i think the guy might just be lazy, i dont think he is tryin to con anyone, he has good feedback, and offers local pickup and paypal payment, i think he's just a bad seller
23. Kev

SR5 porn!

why dont you give it a bash yourself?? changing pickups is pretty easy, minimal soldering really
