1.
Bless! I can never own more than one fretted comfortably, one always gets played more and ends up getting the chop. My #1 has seen off about 6 other so far! Enjoy it and enjoy playing on it now you are GAS free!
come on now, lets not be silly
2. the SR5 is going nowhere they make a nice couple!
3. here she is, electronics need a bit of work but otherwise she's all good!
4. ahpook buy it back!!!!!!
5. seriously mate theres no need to worry about it
6. i know how to solder, its just im careless and iv damaged circuit boards in the past, and id rather just leave it. il probably get this and my stingray all serviced n that when my loan comes through. just finished setting up the bass, i imagine the neck will settle quite fast with the graphite in it n all, bass plays great, il try n get some photo's up soon! watch out in gear porn
7. well i cant afford to get it fixed so itl have to remain as it is til september the notch in the brass nut for the d strings is too large, but because the neck has a zero fret it doesnt seem to be causing any problems, looking at the fret wear at the d on the zero fret it looks like its been like that for sometime. but yeah the bass plays great, just tweaking the truss rod and action now, i like it led's are funky too. hopefully this will be a simple fix and il have a cracking bass for £200 seller is a good guy too, emailed him about the problem before i discovered that it was loose, and he offered to give me money back which i thought was sound of him. i of course refused as if it is just a loose or damaged pot, its parcelforce i have to blame. he swears it worked fine before he sent it, good enough for me
8. tbh mate im sh*te at soldering anyways so id rather get it done for me!
9. opened it all up and took the circuit out, the tone knob is not soldered down properly, i couldnt tell before as it was a tight fit. im guessing that someones been playing consignment football and my bass has took a knock. i dont have an iron as mine broke, so i cant fix it myself. cheap luthier in bristol??
10. i dont have a multimeter so it could be a fuked preamp rather than just a pot?
11. ye done that i assume since a sound is coming out, and no sound come out if i take the batteries out, the preamp is working fine, its just the tone knob isnt working, reckon its worn out??
12. bass came today, decent condition problem? the tone/eq knob has no effect on sound. iv replaced batteries and still no sign of it even slightly working. master volume and pickup balance knobs are working fine (i assume thats what they are) but the bass's tone is dull and flat, which from what iv heard of statusus cant be right. help?
13. get some new strings on it, set it up as best you can if your confident enough, and see what its like then
14. by USA version do you mean it has an american power supply and so needs a transformer?? if so, you might wanna let people know
15. im self taught, and tbh i do whatever feels comfortable tbh! if i feel im stretching too much i move my thumb to centre of the neck, if not i keep it wrapped round, but tbh i change all the time, go with the flow
16. id recommend you get a new nut, so that you have one for regular tuning and one for bead, just in case you wanna switch back. filling a nut is irreversible, changing one for another is not
17. its getting old for a ste-bass
18. nah, keep the thumb, time for the vigier to be sold....
19.
There's definately something strangely attractive about this bass!
+1! certainly not something id usually be attracted to, but i dunno there is sumit about it!
20. that wah one is tempting!!

22. i was just wondering if it was at all possible to modify a trace elliot gp7sm preamp so that it has a footswitch to control whether the preshap is on or off, and if so who would i go to to get it done?
23. check switch for what?? the clean boost just isnt clean, im not sayin its obvious, but it sucks my tone for sure or if your not talkin to me then il shut up!
24. nah thats never 46", is it??
