  1. ahh this is the one i annoyingly missed out on last time, not really after a precision now though! seems a nice bass
  2. i think you certainly wont get over a grand if you modify it, unless you do it so you can put it back to original spec when you sell
  3. i think im on the verge of gettin one for my ray 5 from the classifieds, its gunna look bloody fantastic!
  4. sorry mate iv already sold it in the sale section for what i bought it for
  5. i dont think any warwick would sell for £1500, be it a stock model like this or the highest spec custom shop model, people just arn't prepared to pay that amount for a warwick at the moment. its a shame coz i bet its worth every penny
  6. i think this is pretty much sold, had lots of interest but im just waiting for someone to confirm, not got back to me yet tho... just to let you know, though, i noticed that it was quite obvious why there was no sound, one of the jack connections was loose and was in contact with the led switch..... so i switched on the iron again and connected the cable so just to clarify, the bass does indeed work again, its just the tone pot that needs connecting
  7. pm'd again...
  8. pm'd, again
  9. pm'd with shipping quote
  10. read the full story here [url="http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=24852&st=0"]http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=24852&st=0[/url] and the pics here [url="http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=25063"]http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=25063[/url] as i said in the original topic i dont think id use the bass much even if i got the electrics fixed, it wont uproot my stingray. When i was making my half arsed attempt at soldering the pot on last night, i did manage at one point to get it to work (sounded very good too), and so that kinda proves that everythin else in there [i]should[/i] be okay, and that its just a few loose connections. il sell for what i bought it for, £204 + shipping. in all likliness its gunna take 5 mins with a soldering iron to fix it, but i personally aint touching one again after how stressed i got last night (no idea how annoying it is to get it working and then lose it!), so im willing to pass on the ebay bargain on here. The bass retailed for £850 i think back in the early nineties when new, and the led's would have cost more to install than what im selling the bass for anyways! let me know if theres any interest
  11. to be honest i think i may sell this to someone who can have more passion to sort it out, i think it wont get played anywere near as much as my stingray even when it is fixed, so if anyone fancies it let me know
  12. i really like it, good luck with sale!
  13. oh how i could spoil the game
  14. [quote name='honza992' post='256538' date='Aug 6 2008, 05:50 PM']Can anyone help me with how to post pictures? I've got them on Flickr, but when I paste the URL into a post here I get a message saying "Sorry, dynamic pages in the [IMG] tags are not allowed". I have tried looking for instructions sticky on Basschat but can't see one. Probably blind....[/quote] upload photos from your pc onto the site using the attachment editor underneath the text box of the new post screen
  15. i emailed rob earlier about the problem, waiting for reply i'm too far away to realistically get to essex, as i don't drive thanks anyway mate
  16. i tried to solder the pot back on myself, failed, and now no sound is coming out of the bass at all, and a loud pop can be heard when i switch the led's on and off. wtf have i done i guess iv just been careless and loosened more connections when i think about it, but still
  17. grrrr i hate you!!!
  18. i think that comparing the price to deep impact anyways might actually be wrong really, as of course the deep impact is the price it is NOT just because of its features, but because of its rarity. IIRC just before they were stopped from being made, didnt some online retailers sell them for £80 odd?
  19. im almost tempted to sell the status just to buy this, which is crazy as id never use the olp part
  20. i wish i could afford £300, gutting really as this would be the perfect chance to perfect my blue dawn stingray good luck with sale man

    Pedal Chain Advice

mate dont bother with the loop, no use for it really, just do them in line. yeah puttin the compressor before the bassballs would ruin the effect, definatly should be near the end (im sticking with it being before the aphex)
  22. [quote name='cheddatom' post='258099' date='Aug 8 2008, 02:01 PM']Really? To me, 2 x as good = 2 x the price! Not that I have the money to be saying it, but if it was twice as good as the deep impact, it would be worth twice the value to me.[/quote] im not speaking literal here, how can one possibly measure one pedal being twice as good as another? i am merely saying that i dont think any amount of 'betterness' it has over the deep impact, its just not worth £525 imo

    Pedal Chain Advice

id personally go for the order youv just wrote them in, inline, but it all depends on what you prefer, just experiment
  24. dude, it could be twice as good as the deep impact, and it still wouldnt be worth that price
