1.
Ibanez Phat-Hed is good for it. Clean mode, attack set to 2, it gives a clanky pick-eque tone.
i dunno if its just me, but i find setting 2 far too harsh to use really on clean mode (im experimenting now) however set to 1, i likey! although after playin through it for about 20 mins, iv just turned it off and now my stingray clean sounds dead in comparison! i wouldnt say it sounds like a pick though, although i do know what you mean, doesnt tim out of ratm use one in this way?
2. fine on mine too

4. wow well i wont be using them again, i sent a bass with hardcase with the couple of months ago now supposodly fully insured up to £1000 for £26, certainly interesting...
5. if thats how much insurance costs, then f*** parcelforce apc overnight will ship a bass with a hardcase insured up to £1000 for £26
6. i dont think so, it has an attack switch switch has 3 setting: 0, 1 and 2. im not sure how to describe what it does tbh! just adds high end in short i think

if its the latest black one then its not a great price, i certainly wouldnt pay any more for one, some places sold them for £35 new id also agree that you wont get a gritty tone from it unless you blend
14. yeah i know that if it was graphite it would have been a steal, but tbf a passive status shark bass sold on here for the same price recently, and since this is active with two pickups and led markers, i think its worth the money i paid.
15. you tried just doing downstrokes with a pic? im rubbish to, and i cant alternate pick for sh*t, but downstrokes should be easy enough
16. easy to avoid, just raise the pickup slightly on the d/g side or lower the pickup on the e/a side, its fine for me
17. ummm turn the treble up? maybe a enhancer of some sort? i dont think theres any specific pedal, what did that electro harmonic knockout pedal do again?
18. thanks, i wasnt sure as iv not heard of or seen many status energy basses, does it look okay in the pics? i notice that in every other energy iv seen the little square at the neck pocket is black, but on this one its wood? is this because its a wooden neck?
19. surely, this being a wal bass, its £2k+?
20. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=230276989689 £204....a good deal?? looks like it has a wooden neck, with active electronics n red led's, total spare of the moment thing i saw it in the last 20 seconds n decided to bid right decision?
21. i personally think that the stock stingray pickup is better than any of the drop ins iv heard the only none exposed pole piece pickup i can think of is the bart, which apparantly dont have the stingray growl
22. a 2eq stingray sold for £750 last week on the forum, so there is hope
23. string spacing is 16mm if iirc pics can be found here: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...p;hl=bassmankev
