1. well as i said everyone else seems to have had no problems, so it probably was one arsehole and he probably has quit, just trying to remember the name of the guy...
2. okay, lets say that they geniunly didnt have it, it shows terrible customer service to ignore my emails once i told them i didn't have the tracking number. that pedal was delivered to the return address. it just may not have been directed to the right place and got lost in the warehouse, which is not my problem. someone at hotrox signed for that pedal.

4. bout a year and a half ago i bought a mini qtron off them. a few days after ordering i get one as a gift off my parents (id just started using effects at this time). so i thought id ask if i could send it back to them and have a refund, which they were happy to do for me. so i popped it in the post by recorded delivery, and emailed them tellin them i had done so. The day after i sent it i checked with the online checker thing and it confirmed that it had been signed for, so i thought id wait it out a few days. No news from hotrox, so i emailed them asking them when my card would be refunded. they replied that they had not recieved the pedal. now obviously the parcel was signed for, so i emailed them again telling them of this. there reply asked for the tracking number, and guess what? i had lost the slip. i told them this, and never got a reply back, despite several more emails sent by me to them. as far as im concerned, they recieved the pedal, and thought they'd see if they could make a quick bit of cash and test to see if i had kept the receipt. since i lost it, they knew i had no proof of delivery, and so bingo, they make £50. Iv had no email or anything off them to convince me otherwise, so as far as im concerned, i wont be shopping there again. other than my case iv only ever heard good things, so maybe the person responsible for returns and emails has changed, in any case i wont be shopping there again until i get a £50 cheque through the post. fair enough i was an idiot for somehow misplacing the receipt and tracking number, but im fairly sure by the way the emails were worded that they knew perfectly well id sent it.
5. pity when you return something they steal £50 off you
6. they wont be true bypass if that happens, true bypass pedals hardly effect tone at all when bypassed, just not possible unless its like a couple dozen pedals in a row, which i imagine its not. true bypass means it doesnt run through the circuitry of the pedal, and the switch just connects the input to the output, thus no tone suck. either your pedals are not true bypass or they/your cables are faulty. buffered pedals are very much useful in pedal chains
7. ooooooo interesting, any sound samples with a bass at all??
8. that is exactly what a vintage fender should look like
9. your best off having a seperate power supply for the DHA, you need like 1000ma at least to really bring out the tone in it, and 12v is a must for me
10. aye, tried both to no avail, so took it back, looked lovely though...
11. the second type are the worst strings iv ever used for every reason, trust me, mine went dead in what seemed like a few hours, and shortly after that the winding appeared to become loose, shocking quality, and id expect the same from the first, strings should never be that price im just after a freebie dead string/s that would just go in the bin anyways

13.
I asked Kev last night to give me a link to the Ebay page as i couldn't find it through my feedback page as it was showing as private, I apologise for my sh*te memory but i couldn't be sure whether Kev had shown a pic of the headstock with the decal or not and maybe jumped the gun in stating that it had been sold as a Fender Custom Shop model and that Kev had perhaps just used different terminology in the advert, and i quote here '' Fender Precision / Jazz Special Bass Limited Edition ''
just thought id add that also that was an accurate statement, the stock bass was part of a limited run of US precision special basses. case closed, just as a sign off i think in general forum members need to make sure they hear both stories before jumping on the bandwagon, it happens a LOT on here, not just to me, and it gets pretty frustrating peace

21.
Nope & Nope
good stuff
22. i like that, very much up my street, how does it all sound?? bass microsynth any good??
23. bought one of these from my local crap converters couple of days ago for £50, seemed like a good deal, got it home to discover the neck was warped and the pickups were f***ed, so i took it back and shockingly they actaully gave me a refund. just out of interest, would it have been worth sorting the neck out and replacing the pickups? was £50 a good price. it looked 80's like, with the big ass brass bridge n string tree, was quite nicely mojo'd. neck felt great apart from the whole warped thing. sunburst in colour with matching headstock
