i bet that 8x8 sounds brilliant, bit loud for home use though i should imagine! probably the exact kinda thing i would look for if i was gigging -
sr4 pickups usually sell >£50, so imagine sr5's would be more

the way you described the bass sweet i got quite excited, but after listening to a couple sound samples, its seems to sound pretty muddy on the bass end of the neck whats your opinion of it??

sterling don't and imo never will have the 'cool' factor of a stingray

i have 2.5mm action on my stingray, iv never tried to get it any lower after i initially set it up coz tbh thats absolutly perfect for me, i play too aggressivly to have it any lower without buzzing i think

my zoom noise reduction in the b2.1u handles any odb-3 hiss, so im sure this will be no probs -
and paid always wanted to try one of these, interesting to see how it fairs against my odb-3 nice one
