nah havnt, bit too expensive for me i think, i cant see why a mxr micro amp wouldnt do the same job

power supply getting hot is normal absolutly no problem changing valves, part of the fun of valve pedals!

as has been said, £300 for a copy is worth it, so definatly take it as long as the neck is straight!

ah yeah thats the mxr clone casing doesnt bother me i was gunna rehouse it anyways

as far as i can see, they have 3: The compressor/sustainer, modelled on the boss compressor (owned before, and beats the boss) The bass limiter/enhancer, modelled on the boss The CL9 dynamic compressor, i guess bassed on the mxr comp. any idea which is better?? would really like something transparant (which the first one is), but something that can get pretty squishy too don't suggest me other brands, this thread is snob free, i liked the compressor i tried, im just interested to see if people have tried the other 2

the nut is the piece of plastic at the top of the neck above the first fret, the things you adjust at the bridge are bridge saddles. it sounds to me just like its a dodgy string, i cant see why just the e string would be distorting and not the rest, have you tried a different e?? as far as i know, all basses should have no problems no matter how heavy or light the strings are, providing they are set up well

could be a dodgy string, could need adjusting at the bridge, could need the nut filed down to fit, could be a few things is your bass set up well? is the string loose or too big for the nut?? if the answer is yes and no, sounds like a dodgy string
