Boss ME-20

the me20b looks very cheap and compared to the zoom is pretty big. never tried it, but the zoom sound quality is better than an me50b for most effects, so take from that what you will

9.
A bit more? Try double the price!
not in the current market mate ebay wise sub for about £400 stringray for about £550 do the math

11. i love this dolphin, wood is superb
12. this the one you bought from a guy at the pub?? how much did you say you paid?
13. the bass di+ and blowtorch have a wet dry blend, surely thats what you want, keeping your tone but adding some effect??
14. nice to see your in bristol, how much you lookin for
15. that second link is quality, i do know how to do a basic set up but that is a really good link
16. done, didnt need too much sanding really, so its fitted, bit of fret buzz but i think it just needs settin up, n il have a crack at that once the new neck has got used to the string tension. cheers
17. it is worth absolutly nothing like that, last one on ebay i think sold for more than a grand less, correct me if im wrong
18. the guy i bought the neck from recommended that i just get some heavy production sand paper (yellow/green stuff), wrap it round a block n just sand, test if it fits, sand, test if it fits... reckon this would be okay? seems sound enough, and saves needless luthier charges
19.
Nut width has no bearing on this problem. What you are suggesting is that the neck heel is deeper than the neck coming off. You could raise the action on the bridge to compensate. I thought you meant that it was having difficulty locating in the existing neck pocket because it was too wide.
yes its a very tight fit, and it doesnt go fully in. comparing the neck to the old jazz neck, the new neck is wider and deeper, hence the problem. i raised the action on the bridge, but to no real success iv emailed a local bristol luthier, waiting for reply
20. ye, best thing is to try them out. The ebs is a superb analog octaver, one of the best i think you are going to find, certainly for the money. you might be able to get a boss oc-2 for cheaper on ebay, and they are pretty sweet octavers too, miles better than an oc-3
21. grab an OLP, sub seems a bit expensive at the current market for you, and tbh for a bit more than that you could buy the stingray, the real thing. i did always despise the lack of contouring of the SUB, great sound but uncomfortable. OLP's sound great, and they have the HH versions now
22. somebody take this!! such a great, useful little pedal, beats the sansamp...
23. id love to kick on my civil war muff with a green muff before it sorely tempted, but no doubt it will sell before i make my mind up how the barber on bass??
24. i have owned both, at the same time. di+ and blowtorch are probably the most different two distortions you could ever compare the di+ is a mid scooped distortion tone, whilst the blowtoch is more of a synthy fuzz than anything. low drive sounds from the di+ are great, but the blowtorch sucks for low gain sound. if you want great synthetic distortion, the blowtorch would be what you want.the mid range control on the blowtorch is brilliant, and the eq is very responsive. basically we need to know what sound you want, as judging by you choosing these two pedals to compare, you either know nothing about the pedals or no idea what type of sound you are after the ebs is analog, and the digitech is digital (i assume you mean the bass synth wah) the bass synth wah does a great octave down, but you'll get a warmer more natural tone from the ebs, but of course you will get the usual analog tracking set backs.
