heres my modded westfield jazz with: great sounding fender japan pickups an upgraded bridge, not sure of the make fender jazz knobs fender chrome pickup cover (not screwed on yet, stuck on for now ) not bad lookin really is it?? the bass and mods have so far cost me about £80 and it sounds like a very respectable jazz now!
6. just looks like a vt2 with different knobs and a different layout sayin that there no 1>2 knob...
7. iv popped them an email, thanks
8. as title says really i think the basses colour is candy red, but not definate How would i go about finishin the headstock in the same colour? would i have to sand down first, or could i just spray over and laquer again? not sure if im gunna do it, as its an expensive neck to f*** up, but just interested if anyone would be prepared to do this for me actually, id be interested in how much you would charge
9. didnt u say somethin like that on the last page as well? if you dont like the thread, dont participate in it
10.
That's basically all that constitute Flea's basslines, speed and slap technique. He's not very melodic, so why does his lack of theory make his lines more impressive?
wow, you dont know much by flea at all, do you?
11. its just a feedback looper, check out napalm effects on ebay, they have several different types
12. theory to play fast? who on earth suggested you did?

what 2 pedals
Yup, dull, but def the best starting point, i wont go anywhere without compression!
i totally disagree, i don't see how compression is the best starting point for someone wanting to experiment with effects
14. if youv got a cheap bass to mod it up, go for it! i bought a westfield jazz off the forum couple of weeks back for £50, iv spent another £35 on it and its sounding and looking pretty great now!
15. theres a lot of negativity, arnt they quite expensive too?
16. thats what i mean, that £90 less than new, but thats what they usually go for if you advertise as new on ebay, you should get more than that
17. have to say, watchin john play bass is quite painful but kudos to flea's trumpet playin then, seemed very decent
18. 17? i thought you were older for some reason
19.
????? yeah he does
how so? in comparisson to some of the other bassists mentioned? and ye, far as i know flea knows practically no theory, which makes some of his basslines seem even more impressive if it was done without theory, which i know for certain that all pre bssm at least stuff was
