Torque T2001EB eh? first person iv met who's owned a torque T series amp other than myself! iv progressed onto trace elliot now though id be happy to give the torque a home though if its no use to you!

as always, i recommend not having a tutor, as youl end up learning their style rather than developing your own, plenty of online lessons n videos to tell you if your going wrong however welcome anyways!

hey man get the amp sorted!

flea is a brilliant bassist, but he certainly does not see himself as being one of the best. he's just a guy doin what he loves, and couldnt care less what other musicians thought of him. its a shame that he is hyped up to be the best, but then again, i far prefer his playin to the likes of wootnen, he doesnt overcomplicate thing, and has wrote some superb, if not simple bass lines

i second the recommendation of the B2 since your askin about effects, im guessin that a compressor will not be what your after, as youl probably want something a bit more 'effect' like for your money?? overdrive would be a must for me, be it subtle or balls to the wall, and certainly needed if your playin rhcp or green day stuff i would think you say you dont want wah, any reason?
