Had a listen.  Not my thing.  But good luck with it anyway :)

  2. A few of you liked the last track Serenity, so thought i'd link you up to our second single, released today! Let me know what you think! Likes/Shares/Comments/Subs all very gratefully received! http://smarturl.it/paragonsingle Cheers guys.
  3. Sectional moderators haven't been a thing on here for some time now, so effectively we all cover all areas. Messaging any one of us will get to the right person, if there is such a thing.
  4. Not at all. Eighties Warwick’s were very slim indeed (think Ibanez), post 2009 Warwicks are also a slimmer C than most. It is a common misconception all Warwicks have baseball bat necks, just because of the sheer quantity of them out there that were built between 2000 and 2005 odd with the D/U necks. Almost all negative Warwick stereotypes comes from peoples experience of the sub par basses built during those “let’s build as many as we possibly can” years.
  5. Most Warwick basses built between approx 1999 and 2009
  6. Stunning! I have the most severe GAS right now for a Starry Night Bongo. Thought Id found one before the buyer decided to pull the listing!
  7. Political comments will be removed, so please refrain from posting any. To be honest, I do think it would be unfair to expect Thomann or any retailer to cover return delivery costs if it's not a faulty item. Can you imagine how much that could cost them? However, surely you could arrange your own courier, they're not insisting on going through them, are they? You can ship to Germany for a lot less than what they're quoting.
  8. Since when were musicman bongo basses hard to find?? GAS killing me and I can only see a couple available in the wrong colour 😂

I know, there always seems to be some knocking about, but there's hardly any and they're all wickedly overpriced.  Typical!

Stop whining Kev, they only made 1 bass in fluorescent lavender pink large flake sparkle with competition stripe in 1996 and that went to a dealership in Alaska, you'll have to be less picky lol.

  9. This is now sold pending payment and will be on its way to its new owner soon. Thanks for all the interest 🙂
  10. Just a small thing to note; when checking over the bass I remembered that the little battery holder usually stuck in the cavity came off at some point, so if you did want to switch to the regular 9V instead of the rechargeable system, you’d probably want to stick that back on again. See pics
  11. Do you know the nut width on this?
  12. Would love one of these, classic combo.

Is it a V1 or V2? Great price if the latter, and it’ll hold its value well.

Naturally it’s going to happen now Darkglass are this size. I don’t think the same people buying these are also people prepared to buy them from Darkglass new so it’s not really harming them. I take it this one is a very stripped down copy of an Ultra and doesn’t have the IRs/headphone amp etc, more like a B7K in an ultra sized box? It’s still very cheap and if it sounds good then I don’t blame people for buying it, but it doesn’t replace the real thing.
  15. Just sold this gent a rather nice phaser pedal, pleasure to deal with!
  16. Iffff it makes you feel any better, I wouldn't have been overly keen to ship abroad anyway. But indeed, its made gear shopping somewhat more difficult that's for sure, but it is what it is.
  17. Focusrite on hold, ES-5 Sold. Rest still available
  18. Believe me, if I could hang on to it, I would
  19. The geddy lee jazz basses are stunning. Just to check, does this have the same neck profile as the pear inlay jobbies? Very interested, but depends on sale of other things first (isn't it always!). Will be watching keenly!
  20. Up for sale is this incredible Warwick Thumb bass, built in 2017. Masterbuilt with the nicest pieces of Bubinga I have ever seen, the way it shimmers in the light is impossible to photograph. This bass has a factory fitted custom brass Just-A-Nut III fitted to accommodate tuning down to B, which is how I have been using the bass. The nut is absolutely fine for regular tuning too. I also have a Tedur JANIII too cut to standard EADG if wanted, but it shouldn't be needed. The bass was strung up last week with a fresh set of Sadowsky blue label strings tuned to Drop B (B F# B E), 5 string set so the spare .40 will be included in the sale. This has almost all the features a brand new Warwick does, including the wooden tuner heads/trc, glow in the dark market, invisible fret technology and, best of all, the rechargeable lithium battery powered MEC preamp, with matching wood control cover. The preamp also includes a plug and play standard 9V battery snap too, should you not wish to trust a rechargeable preamp! (The regular 9V battery holder would need to be reattached to the control cavity with an adhesive pad or similar as it has been removed) Condition is excellent. No dings or issues with the bass. The only sign of wear is on the neck pickup cover under the top string, bit of string burn. Even the MEC gold logos are fully intact (if you know, you know! ) I have tried to find a way of keeping this bass for a while but sadly finances just can't accommodate keeping it at the moment. Some of you know about my Warwick obsession and I can say this is the best I've had, including all the eighties models etc. The build quality is just stunning. Specifics available on request. [couple from the previous owner too, hopefully he doesn't mind] The bass comes in its beautiful leather case, together with the toolkit, certificate of authenticity and all the usual stuff. I will not post this bass. However, for petrol money, i'm happy to drive a fair distance for a drop off/meet. I just don't trust couriers with it! Any questions, ask away. Trades? Only with substantial (minimum 50%) cash coming my way, this is very much a money raising exercise. £2,000, price is firm. New Thumb will set you back at least £4,500, add hundreds more for a custom order like this. Cheers!
  21. Interesting to know. Re: Tolex, my issue was with the "Tweed" tolex they used, so not the regular one. It shrunk as much as it peeled.
  22. 2018 tolex peeled and as of 2019 Alex apparently had no way of fixing my cabs, so I sold them as is. Not sure if the glue has changed since then. I would avoid the tolex finish and ask for the painted finish, that's solid and easy to touch up too.
