  1. You missed off artificial scarcity I don't begrudge success, but as a businessman I don't like how he operates, ever since Darkglass Gate. But that aside, I wasn't saying it in a negative way, more just astounded.
  2. $110,000 in 24 hours, how many builders are raking that kind of money in?
  3. Has anyone got any clips of it in a full mix? I feel like the synthy elements may sound great solo'd but lost a little in a mix, would love to hear it in context.
  4. Funnily enough, I actually think the opposite. The Octabvre and Photon are just clones of other pedals, tweaked of course, whereas the Doom is actually something original, I think anyway.
  5. £300 before customs charges, assume somewhere around £330 landed, pretty steep. Think the last 3Leaf product I ordered from the US was an original Doom from a music store for $179, and that shop marked it down for customs too.
  6. It's promising to hear that they're selling well at least! Pedal(s), I've gone for an Octavius Squeezer/OC-2 combo, with a bunch of modulation blocks on the Quad Cortex. I'm absolutely in love with the Chunk, the filter and fuzz circuits are outstanding even before considering the VCO, and despite the interface from hell, I actually love being able to program everything on the pedal itself, without an external interface.
  7. The price is about right really, considering the costs of the far east Dingwalls and similar. Basically the same cost as a new StingRay, so even at production line level rather than handbuilt, its still not overpriced really, provided it is indeed built in the US.
  8. I'd agree after a year of sales perhaps, but a few weeks? And I assume the number of units sold so far won't be massive. I dunno, I didn't buy one, but I think i'd be peeved if I did. Hell, the Quad Cortex came down by £100 after two years of me owning one and I was irked by that 😂 It's interesting, as around a month ago I was strongly considering buying one of them, had it in the basket etc, but I ruled it out as I couldn't stretch my budget past £300. I went a different synth route instead (a route I'm VERY happy with) so its no longer a goer for me, but yeah, if they'd sold it direct for that price, I'd be part of the club by now.
  9. The shop price is delivered and includes VAT. I think at the intro price ordered direct it landed at around £330, based on a calculation I saw a few pages ago. So yeah, the first buyers given the special pre-order deal seem to have paid a 30% or so chunk more than anyone can presumably order one now, which I find odd to say the least.
  10. I may be mistaken, but i'm 99.9% sure the intro price was 299 euros, regular price 359 euros, plus a hefty shipping charge and the fees that come with it. £258 delivered is a massive saving. What's going on?
  11. May well do, but they're still selling them now. I ruled it out as I had it landed in the UK at somewhere around £330-£350 including VAT duty , fees etc, and that was the special cheap pre-order price... I think I'd be more than miffed if a few weeks after I supported the launch, they were available at a shop for almost 30% cheaper.
  12. https://www.musicstore.com/en_GB/GBP/Panda-Audio-Future-Impact-V4-Bass-Synthesizer/art-BAS0012661-000 Is it me, or is £258 including VAT and delivery a LOT cheaper than it was being preordered for direct??
  13. At least a couple of those exist, its a custom shop option
  14. The thumb is so nice, i'll even forgive you for the state of that headstock
  15. It's quite unusual to get Bubinga with that kind of figuring on an eighties Thumb. It's a real special example, congrats!
  16. I can't see the discussion, but my word, being a gent would be an absolute struggle in response to that if it was me.
  17. I think it also matters tremendously the reason the shop gave to the US buyer for cancelling the sale, whatever that may have been.
  18. You know, I totally didn't pick up on this part of the story, got distracted by the almost-bargain aspect. Yeah, that's gross, from both parties but mainly the shop for me for agreeing to it. They haven't come out well from this at all.
  19. Mooer 'shroom footswitch toppers - does anyone have a spare one they would bequeath to me?  I need 11 so the 10 pack didn't cut it!

Cool, no worries. Back in the spares bag it goes then! 😀

  20. I've had a play with it now, was expecting more of an overhaul of the UI given the move from 10 to 11 but I guess I'm happy its mostly just polished here and there. Had a go of the stem splitter on one of my own tracks, and I'm actually really impressed with how the drums and vocals came out in a pretty dense metal mix. Bass not very useable and having everything else lumped as "guitar" is a shame, but it has potential.
  21. I think that just about wraps this up 🙂
  22. The thing is Nick, I'm struggling to see why you appear to have any animosity with the Basschat Admin/Mod team. We explained the situation to you as you have now acknowledged, you unfortunately followed some bad advice from a non-moderator on here which caused us to have to act again. You have not been accused of anything by the team, and our informal warning text is very clear to highlight this and offer help, but somehow you appear left with a negative opinion with us and how the site is run, which I think is what is causing such confusion and frustration with Ped and the rest of the team.
  23. Am I missing something, I haven't seen a 3Leaf pedal hang around this long for a long time, aren't they like £300+ odd on eBay/Reverb etc? Sure it will go soon!
  24. He would have received the full explanation that has been reposted a couple of times in here. If he didn't receive this, then this is a bug we can look at for him if he lets us know, but it shows at our end as sent and acknowledged. Unfortunately, like many forums, rules like this have to be in place i'm afraid, site runnings costs sadly don't pay for themselves, and it is still an AWFUL lot cheaper to sell stuff here than certain other online marketplaces
