    Excellent top-end cabinet from Bergantino, ideal for those looking for a more traditional bass cab sound, rather than Super HiFi. 1x15 and 1x6 inch in a sealed cabinet, proper ceramic speaker but still really manageable for such a cab. In good condition with minimal scuffing and comes with branded cover. I never gig with my own cabs these days so this is surplus to requirements really. Specs: Description NV115 ‘New Vintage’ Series 1-15″ & 1-6″ Midrange Bass Guitar Loudspeaker Unique in the Bergantino Audio Systems line of speakers are the New Vintage NV series of bass guitar speaker cabinets. The NV series cabinets are sealed (rather than the traditional ported design) which provides the NV cabinets with a tighter and more immediate bass response. The cabinetry on the NV series employ a precision tuned cabinet architecture and the enclosures are built with the finest 100% Baltic birch plywood. The NV series are covered in traditional tolex for durability (no more carpet fuzz for your cat to claw) and they all employ a rigid black grille to protect the drivers. The internal components used are extremely high quality and they are of Bergantino design. No ‘off-the-shelf’ parts are used. Woofers have ceramic magnets with vented pole pieces and the low-end on this series of cabinets is full and round. The NV series have remained a favorite of finger style and pick players because of the tight-creamy low end found with these cabinets. The NV115 incorporates a 6” midrange mated to a custom phase-coherent crossover network that extends the range of the cabinet up to 6.5KhZ. Want a little more clarity and open sound, but don’t like tweeters? This is THE cabinet for you! Sounds great with tube amplifiers (pull out the V4B, Model T, Hiwatt, etc.) and this cab will make you smile. Vintage heaven!     Have to say, impressed with your attitude. If I had picked up a bargain, I'm not sure I could hand on heart say I would go to these lengths to check whether or not the item had been stolen or similar. Fortunately, I am an excessively unlucky bugger and I will never find such things at a car boot! Personally though mate, I would take the approach of keeping the bass as you bought it fair and square and, other than its value being higher than what you paid, you don't seem to have any real suspicion of foul play. If someone comes to you claiming it was taken from them or similar, let them offer their proof and make a decision privately, but ultimately I would just enjoy some good fortune at a great find

    If you look closer, you will find that all the parts and other stuff included with their top end masterbuilt basses are insanely expensive. Warwick have done this for years to premium their top end models and make it difficult to upgrade a lower model or another bass entirely. Their brass nut used to be £150!!! If you look at their lower range stuff i.e. the parts and stuff that don't just come with the masterbuilt instruments, their prices are really reasonable. It is just their way of keeping the exclusivity of the top models, which does suck for those who have those models I guess. Then again, those who can afford £5k odd on a new Warwick... The Leather case is not seriously marketed at the general public, hence the price. The fabric rockcases/flightcases are, hence their reasonable prices. That aside, my Mono Vertigo is worth every penny, and because of the extensive shock absorption tech for me I find it much safer than a hardcase for general use.

    I think a lot of that comes down to some having difficulty effectively using an EQ on the likes of the B7K and AO. Anyone getting a tone that is too 'fizzy' is doing it wrong The amp has a 'Tone' control, which is much more plug and play and makes it easier to tame the highs. I actually did really enjoy that about the M900, but ultimately every tone the amp B*K circuit can achieve is possible with the B7K Ultra on my board, just easier to get to perhaps.

    I am due to be auditioning for a Celtic Metal band next month who play in Drop C and DGCF, a first for me. Found my usual 45-105 lacking in tension unsurprisingly, taking delivery of a heavier set today but historically string thickness has always been more important that tension for me, so I may well stick with the 105's. We shall see!

    I get more irked by people asking almost the new cost of used gear that happens to be flavour of the month, and then wonder why they have no interest. Some people need to learn not to buy new if they are not prepared to lose money when selling!

    Listing the M9 was a moment of GAS induced temporary insanity. Fortunately the GAS inducing item sold and I came to my senses! The M9 can do almost anything and sounded massive with the band on Sunday. The powerhouse cabs are very heavy indeed, but Berg NV115's are more than manageable The Darkglass certainly seemed to be louder and more flat sounding than the puma ; I found the puma had some kind of bass or low mids boost baked into the circuit. Believe it or not, the Darkglass has the cleanest flattest sound of all the amps, Microtubes circuits disengaged of course. It's a great amp, I only sold as for various reasons I decided to have the Darkglass pre on my pedalboard again, and it seemed OTT to have the amp and not use the Microtubes section. I have no experience with the combo, but I am almost certain it will just be the rackmountable version of the M6 in there and should be whipped out easily ; it's only usually cheaper combos that tend to have the head more built in.

    Mesa Boogie M9 Carbine Darkglass M900 Tecamp Puma 900 Gallien Krueger MB500 Fusion All excellent heads owned in the past 24 months, ranked in order of my preference. GK lacked a bit of umph compared to the others, but with a lower rating its not terribly surprising. The only other amp I owned in that time was an Aguilar TH500 - I was very disappointed in this amp. AB'd it against the GK and Tecamp at the time, felt like the Class D head people love to stereotype; underpowered, real lack of weight in the tone and just generally weaker sounding than the other two. Preamp I found dark and rather hard to get away from its baked in sound, just didn't like it at all.

    Gator 4U Rack Case - in good condition with some scuffing on the feet as you would expect, however it has not seen heavy use. Price is collected from Leamington, happy to meet somewhere with reason, postage is possible but extra as, whilst this case is very lightweight for its size, it is still a bulky package.

    Just to add, this does include the footswitch and a suitable long cable too. This will likely only be available for 24/48 hours or until the amp I am after otherwise sells. This will then be withdrawn so weekend sale only please!
