1. Lovely early example good price too, have a bump!
2.
id love to try one for sure just not sure i wanna sell stuff to free up the cash andy
Do you have Sky? Consider cancelling that for 9 months and taking out the interest free finance at Andertons. Puts into context how much money we can waste on stuff that matters so much less, doesn't it!

Cheers guys
4. ah, I gave in an preordered weeks ago, obviously.
5. Great review Regarding the Microtubes circuit in the Darkglass, how it reacts is hugely dependant on what bass goes in. It's also very interactive with the gain knob and switch.
6. Not much else to say really! I have a wonderful Mono strap in grey in good condition, however it is in size small and, whilst has served me fine for a while, my latest bass needs a longer strap to be comfortable so I'm after a large if anyone has one and fancies one smaller??
7. Another service station meet, this time to buy one of his many Jazz basses! Another enjoyable occasion, cheers buddy!
8. It seems the initial buzz of these is over and plenty are popping up for sale....so I nabbed one Only picked it up this evening but after a quick nervous neck-off job to tighten the rod a little and a quick set-up to get the action nice and low it seems I have myself a rather wonderful sounding and playing jazz bass. Pickups are punchy and have a wonderful character to them. I haven't owned a Jazz in years and years but it sounds as good as I could have hoped. Really impressed with the relic job too, much much nicer in the flesh than in pictures, much more realistic look and feel to it. I'm looking forward to giving it a crack at volume at my next rehearsal.
9. I had the same reaction when I fitted a status neck to a Stringray 5. Amazing bass, wonder where it is these days...

The range is pretty straightforward when you look at that page. The only area I don't quite understand is why the ABZ range still exists? Pre-Combustion era it made sense to have a more budget Canadian model, but now I don't really get why it can't just be Combustion and Afterburner.
11. Best cab I have owned, I just don't use it to its potential! Most gigs I do are fully Pa supported so I can't justify such a high end bit of kit for stage sound. In great condition, couple of scuffs on the bottom as you would expect and a couple of small dings. 2 x 12" Custom Neodymium drivers with 7 oz magnets high intelligibility 1" tweeter custom phase - coherent crossover with tweeter level control Precision tuned 100% Baltic Birch cabinet power handling - 700 watts rms frequency response: tbc sensitivity: tbc db @ 1 Watt/1 meter 2 x 1/4" and 2 x neutrik connectors impedance: 4 ohms dimensions: 31"H x 18-1/2"W x 15"D (79cm x 46cm x 38cm) weight: 46lbs/20 Kgs Padded/fitted cover £70 I have the original heavy duty box so shipping is possible at cost. Just this picture for the moment, as well as those in the previous owner's (OBBM) sale thread here http://basschat.co.uk/topic/299577-bergantino-cn212-sold/page__p__3227535__hl__cn212__fromsearch__1#entry3227535 : Kev
12. Oo, a bolt on Warwick fiver is exactly what I am after as a backup. That's lovely too, weight??
13. Damn, Glad I dont have the money, I wouldn't have a clue which to pick!!!
14.
I miss out on so many good basses because people won't post
Sorry bud, I am usually happy to post but when its something of this value and I don't already have a box or case it just isn't worth it I'm afraid!
15. Recently purchased this as a panic-backup for a gig I had at the weekend and this was the only bass locally available in budget! No use for it really so, as surprised by it as I am (its absolutely crazy good for the money), I need to replace it with something more aggressive and modern. Bass is strung with some nice Flatwounds and sounds really nice. Can't fault the build quality at all really, neck is straight and smooth, neck pocket very tight, finish is good quality and the hardware seems fine. I have no idea how they make these basses so cheap! Only negative is the pickguard is roughly cut on one side, but other than that I can't fault it for what it is. No gig bag with this and no box so collection or meet up only please. It is located in Leamington Spa. Cheers
16. Looking to maximise funds to purchase a backup bass so I am considering selling my Darkglass Super Symmetry Compressor. Ill likely regret it as this is the second I have owned, following regret the first time. You never quite realise how much you love it until its gone! Superb compressor, I wont try and describe what it does but check the Darkglass website and, probably more importantly, the Ovnilab review http://www.ovnilab.c...darkglass.shtml for a great description. Pedal in great condition with a little velcro on the bottom. Latest version with the smoother aluminium box. Price includes original box/candy and UK shipping.
17. Don't Fender change their specs year on year, however minor? I'm sure they have used different pickups since 2012 on the standard. Personally I would send it back, although I guess they have done nothing wrong unless they advertised the current specs e.t.c. EDIT I should say on the proviso the bass is just 'ok'. Appreciating Fender QC, if its a good one then keep it if the spec is the same!
18. Just been drooling over this on FB and now it appears on here. Stop following me!
19. Stunning! There is no luthier rivalling Alpher for woodwork, plenty of credit to their sources too!
20. Serial number? Whenever a birth year Warwick comes up I need to check the month...
I should have fitted a darkglass to mine instead of looking at the Z series. I wanted an active circuit, it even had a wenge neck with oversprayed bubinga top. The Z3 replacement was magnificent but had a coffee table wood top and cost a fortune, Still a magnificent bass. Are you still using the purple one Kev? I'm just going to have to save a bit more and do the dream order from Sheldon.
Yup, still using the 'Cadbury Bass' as my main bass, perfect for the band and honestly plays better than any other bass I can remember, super low action and super fast as a result I fancy a D-Bird...

Everyone has realised how good they are My AB1 is the pick of all the Dingwalls I have owned Col, its incredible with the Darkglass preamp. I wouldn't choose my old ABII or Z1 over it.
