As and when you fancy something else then you can decide if it stays or goes!
plus the one... don't sell stufff ust cos you don't use it...you may fall in love with it again
  2.
Is the thunder any good? i really want one, could probably get one off the bay for £100 or so...
i loved mine...great sound, lovely neck. if i didn't have far too many basses i'd buy another in an instant !
  3.
I agree with him.
plus the one plus one. total coffee table bass, and therefore nausea-inducing in my eyes
  4. a total waste of wood imho
  5.
After a brief look it appears westone didn't make that and someone has just slapped a westone sticker on a cheap musicman copy. Westone are a japanese made brand made in the 1980's in the matsumoku factory. They were high quality instruments and there's still a lot of them around today because they were so well built. I'm after one actually...
plus the one...westone never made a stingray copy. i've got a frankenwestone fretless and owned a thunder 1a for years...amazing basses.
  6.
Lol this 'mojo' thing is like the 'Kings New Clothes'..................
plus the one i can't help but think someone who's made such a mess of a bass won't have looked after it very well...it might play like a dog.
  7.
i could accept paypal, splitting the fees, but i would prefer a cheque tbh, let me know guys!
i'm fine on splitting the fees
  8. darn ! beat me to it !!!
  9. thanks ! interesting to know it's the same as the marshall i've just mailed red onion solutions to see how much they'd charge to build me a footswitch - i just got one of their effect loops pedals and it's fab. update: after a few emails sorting out what's required they're building me a footswitch.
  10. i've got a mid-80's squire tele, but i hanker after a fender jag
  11. just a quick question - anyone know if the footswitch for the svp-pro uses latching or momentary switches ?
  12.
+1. I've got a Gotoh 201 on my fretless Precision. More substantial that the Fender bridge, but looks better than a Badass (IMO). They're also a lot cheaper than the Badass.
put one on my fender cowpoke as soon as i got it...improved the tone no end. and yes, much nicer-looking than a badass
  13.
Which one?
i'd go for the 201...
  14. i sold my dod stereo bass chorus to mr. pablo an absolute gentleman...wouldn't hesitate to deal with him again. hope youi enjoy the pedal rob !
  15.
...so I use my old trusty Tascam cassette 4 track with a mic hung from the ceiling and spend about 10 seconds getting a level....sounds pretty decent though.
plus the one - a couple of mics and a tascam have given me some of the best recordings of practises ever. hell...i even recorded the drum tracks for a demo of a band i was in that way...and got a lot of compliments for the quality of the drum sound !!
  16. how many is too much ? it all depends on how much time and energy you've got i guess. i'd be inclined to give it a go with the guitarist friend and just be honest if it turns out to be too much...you're only human. i'm in 2 1/2 bands...all originals. it's hard work, but i'd rather busy than not.

    EHX muff
So are the any of the muffs any good? (mig muff, little big muff, whatever other muff) I know burton used one, but i asked some guys in a shop and they reckoned it was crap for bass, so what do you guys think? I'm looking for a decent upgrade from my crappy old behringer overdrive pedal.
i much prefer the double muff over the little big muff for bass. to my ears the lbm takes all the punch out of your sound, but i know others wouldn't agree. it depends what kind of sound you like, obviously.
  18.
im waiting impatiently for the mxr el grande bass fuzz to be released, it will be coming in as soon as its available for sure!
plus the one
  19.
Hartnoll Guitars do the Platinum Drive for £60 + £8 carr.
i didn't know that - thanks. i've dropped the price here as i'd rather sell to a basschatter than someone on ebay.
  20.
Hi Sk8 had a LBM on here a couple of weeks ago that he was selling at £35. He reduced it to £30 (posted) and it's still not sold to the best of my knowledge. I'm not buying and trying to wrangle the price down or anything, just thought I'd let you know.
thanks, i'm aware of the other auction, as i said. if the items don't sell here they're going on ebay.
  21. anyone heard anything about their availability yet ?
  22. relisting at reduced prices... electro harmonix little big muff good condition - it has been gigged a couple of times, but has always been in a pedalcase. a couple of scratches, but nothing major. i've taken rubber feet off, but i'll include them in case you don't want to take advantage of the velcro on the back of the pedal. includes original box, instructions and sales receipt. £25 all in (UK only) price dropped further !!!! aria td-1 platinum drive valve distottion pedal: sold
  23. ok, so i've left it a few days since i got the pedal to give it a proper run-through and also to use it at a band practise. firstly - a quick description. standard ehx nano-sized box with two controls: effect level and response. the effect level controls the level of the effected signal in the output and the response controls the severity of the effect. ok - so..what does it sound like ? difficult to describe to be honest ! the simple answer is that it adds a variable degree of 'clank' (when playing with a pick) or ''bite' (fingerstyle) to the sound, the amount of which is controlled by the response control. at very high levels of response the sound is almost unmanageably trebly. when i first started using it at 'bedroom' volumes and through headphones i was a bit disappointed...it sounded too extreme, and at low levels of response you could hear the sound of the gate opening and closing. it sounded good, but a wee bit too processed. one thing it was good for was to add some presence when playing along with songs. but here's where it shines...playing with a full band. i took it along to practise today and used it with very mild settings (effect level at 9 o'clock, response at 10)...and it sounded great ! it just adds a bit of punch and bite to the sound without being over the top. placed before my modded rat it really added a lot of crunch to the overdrive. both guitarists mentioned that they could hear a difference, but couldn't say exactly what it was. they liked it though !! so - i hope this makes sense...it's hard to describe exactly what it does, but it's gonna be in my pedalboard from now on !!
  24. 100-40 elites on all of my 4-stringers
