I've shared kit at a lot of the gigs I've done, in fact I'd say the majority of gigs have involved in some sharing. I'm not aware of any problems my bandmates have had, and none of my equipment has ever been damaged, and I was bought many a pint as thanks.

I've lost count of the number of people involved with making music who have told me the correct way to coil cables. I'm pretty sure that 99% of them had never asked if I do it that way or, indeed, seen me coil cables. I must look like the kind of person who can't coil cables, I guess.

But tone comes from your fingers, and he's playing with his fingers,...who knows, maybe his fingertone is interfering with the necktone. Too many variables, unless.....
