    Hmmm, I [i]should[/i] have the rack ears for it somewhere, I certainly never sold them and can't imagine I'd throw them away. I'll have to check through my projects cupboard to see if I can find them. Will do in the morning - it's 4am and I'm just in form a gig, isn't driving in the snow fun!

    I have a shuttlemax 6. Seriously impressive amps, there's so many tone shaping options (probably more than I'll ever need!) The only fault (and it's one that really annoys me) is that the feet on mine are plastic, which on a lightweight amp means it slides all over the place when playing at volume. I think the reason it annoys me so much is that it would have been very easily fixed with rubber feet. Rant over, brilliant amps, light as a feather, effing loud and sound great.

    I'm moving on my Eden WT405, it's a great amp but I've also got the Genz Benz Shuttlemax and don't really need two heads. I'm not sure why it's called the Time Traveller, but I think that sounds cool! They're loud amps that go down to 2 ohms and the bass boost on them is ridiculously low, which I used to get carried away with. 620w @ 2 ohms 405w @ 4 ohms 235w @ 8 ohms Size wise it's almost an identical size to the Genz Benz Shuttlemax, but weighs a fair bit more, although it's by no means heavy. I've also had some really good results in the studio with them, and got some nice compliments on the [url="http://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/drum-struck/id419159404"]last album I used them on[/url]. IIRC I used it on tracks 1, 2 (some synth on 1 & 2 mixed with live bass), 3, 5, 6, 9, 11 DI'd out the back of the amp into the desk (but it was about 2 years ago). Condition wise it's in decent nick, has no faults, hisses or crackles, it does have a couple of blemishes to the black paint on top, I'll take some pics if anyone's interested? Here's a stock pic.     Thanks for the comments guys, 'tis indeed a lovely looking bass and whilst I'll probably regret selling it all it's doing at the moment is sitting in a hard case so I can't even stare at it

    It pains me to put this bass up for sale as it's the most beautiful instrument I've owned (IMO etc etc) however I just don't play it so much as I've never got on with the 35" scale (ligament damage in my fretting hand ) and have another bass incoming, you all know the rest. Anyway this bass is about a year old and is in VGC apart from a slight damage to the finish (details below), it's never been gigged and has rarely left the house. Specifications: • Iceni Funkmeister 5 string, 35" scale • Hi gloss, Ebony burst finish • Chrome Hardware • Idigbo body • Three piece maple neck, ebony veneers • Maple fretboard, no markers • Burl Walnut veneer top, matching headstock • Smoked clear scratch-plate • John East J-Retro 01 deluxe preamp • DiMarzio ultra jazz pickups • Customized BadAss bridge, for top loading or string through Here's some pics taken by Richard H (he's a better photographer than me!) [b]The bad bit[/b] is that at some point last summer (I have no idea when) the bass got some damage to the great finish. I've taken some pics, below. Fortunately the damage is only in the balck area of the finish, and not in the burst so should be repairable if desired. I feel that the price fairly reflects this... You really can't notice the damage from the front of the bass... PRICE DROP: £800 collected Can post at buyers expense, and we'd have to work out something about a hard case. I will consider trades or part trades with cash coming my way, tempt me...

    I don't think you'll need the coil taps those East preamps with the mid sweep have a huge range of sounds That said its your bass and you know what you like so go for it

    I got too play this with the drummer form Kula Shaker at music college many years ago by pure coincidence my functions band a are playing at a wedding in a few weeks and the bassist from Deep Purple is some relation to the groom, so they've all had to learn it so he can come onstage for a jam with us - bit gutted I won't get to play with him, just let him use my kit Buggered if I can remember how to play it though, I've probably got score somewhere.

    I have the new MBOx, and I have to say the sound quality on it is excellent, so much nicer than some of the other interfaces out there.

I get that TAB takes into account tuning differences, but it surprises me that notation does the same. It makes sense (to a point) if all the strings are tuned down the same amount (i.e a half step so you're playing all flats on open strings) but what about when they aren't tuned evenly, i.e drop D or some of the open tunings guitar players use? Not trying to troll just genuinely interested as that really surprises me. Ta.

    We use iPads quite a bit, the apps I'd recommend are: - Garage Band (a must have) - iKaossilator - Animoog There the ones I use the most, but don't use any of them for bass, more for accompaniment or making it's own music.

    I really like the Sontronics STC80 mics. Whether they'll work for you and your singer is up to you, but all there kit has really impressed me, price wise they're about the same as a 58. http://www.sontronics.com/stc80.htm
