1.
Played through one of these at a show last night. LOUD.
They certainly are loud enough for some gigs, especially with an 8 ohm extension cab which increases the output to 150 watts. I am looking for a Markbass 12" combo to use as a standby for my LM3, otherwise I would be keeping it without doubt.
  2. Sold my Berg cab to Steve, fast payment and easy transaction, cheers Steve hope you enjoy the cab.
  3.
Where are you?
I am in Preston Lancashire.......PR1
  4. Price adjustment and postage option bump.
  5. I'm looking for a larger combo for rehearsals and small gigs, so this great little amp is up for sale at £325 collected from Preston Lancs. Can post at cost price or meet up on motorway within 50 mile radius. It is in good condition apart from a few minor scuffs on the metal casing, and includes a Warwick gig bag.

100 watts main (150 watts with extension cabinet)
Active 4-band EQ
Adjustable Contour, High Boost & Low Cut
Send, Return, Line Out &
Headphone Out
XLR out with ground lift (fixed pre-EQ)
13.5x16x8.5
26 lbs

  6.
Can you give some specs please: scale length, weight & string spacing. Also, is it strung B - G or E - C? Cheers!
Hi thanks for your enquiry and apologies for the delay in replying, I have just found your post. The Zoid weighs just under 9lbs on bathroom scales and is 34" scale. The string spacing is 19mm and it's strung B to G. Now with price reduction to £1950
  7.
:-( no offers? Very nice bass.
Thanks for that, I've had a few trade offers, mainly for 5 strings which I non longer play so this fantastic bass is still available. I am open to reasonable offers too if that helps.
  8. Thanks for the offer, I'm not looking for another 5 string though.
  9. Thanks for the compliments guys, delivery or meet up within 100 miles of Preston Lancs included. Aguilar- Sadowsky- Fender trades considered.
  10. Hi all , this is a very reluctant sale due to my return to 4 strings due to arthritic wrists and fingers. Here are the specs in the words of Wood & Tronics. Alder body with hollow chambers Horse chestnut heel block (rare and special for tone) + Padouk veneer Tanzanian blackwood solid - across top with special arrangement one off Zebra wood/Maple/Purpleheart/ interruption layers Satinwood fingerboard 3 piece Maple/Ash/Maple neck Norstrand dual coils East/ W&T circuit Satinwood is an amazing essence with a tonal organicity, somewhere in between Ebony and Rosewood, combining Ebony's deep lows and present treble with Rosewood's typical midrange presence. It is in fact almost as hard as Ebony and it's unique for its light colour. Horse chestnut is a great tone wood, used as a heel block. It imparts great transparency and lets all tonal nuances exploit. Wood & Tronics saved their last pieces of blackwood and horse chestnut to make this special piece. Condition is excellent and the bass has recently been professionally set up and fret dressed. After consulting Mark at Bass Direct, I am asking for [s]£2,000 [/s] £1850.00 or near offer including the Wood and Tronics gig bag. Regarding trades, if anyone has an Aguilar DB 750 to part ex I may be interested.
  11. I wish Andrew all the best with his new venture, having recently sold him a 70's P bass I couldn't have been more impressed and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him. Cheers Cameron
  12. Well done Steve, I hope you continue to make a steady recovery. All the best. Cameron

    Raggy

I can highly recommend Steve, he's a genuine, friendly chap who looks after his gear, thank you mate, the Bergantino NV 412 cab is immaculate as described. Looking forward to hooking it up to the Matamp tomorrow. All the best Cameron
  14.
Oh right. The headstock seemed an odd shape, thats why I asked.I remember see him a couple of years ago with Wilco and he was using a very battered T.E. 4x10 combo which seemed to be giving him problems. The set was delayed by about 5 minutes while he messed about with it.But he got it going and then played a blinding set.
It's a sort of copy of his 1962 Fender jazz which Norman stopped using live, Andy baxter has the 62 for sale at the moment.
  15. I have just done the very same thing, sold my P basses privately and sourced an old jazz from the US through Andy Baxter, who was very good to deal with. He can also sell your basses on commission. His prices are much more realistic, as he doesn't have the overheads of Denmark street. www.andybaxterbass.com
  16.
I remember my old Acoustics lecturer describing post-war attempts at sonic weaponry and it all seemed a bit far fetched (and it seems Hawkwind got as close to perfecting it as anyone else). Then, a few months later whilst standing next to a huge dub sound system at Notting Hill, I realised just what bass can do to your organs And IIRC Steff still has a Mesa 1x18 for sale on here
Seek a sound proof shelter....do not waste time blocking your ears....do not panic....do not paaaaniiiiic

    Sadowsky
Wow thats a lot opinions flying around since I was away at the weekend playing gigs! I guess from Sadowskys point of view it's good to be talked about, no such thing as bad publicity and all that.. They obviously make very good basses that are still selling well even at higher prices. Aside from the nice neck and light weight one of the things that impressed me most was the active circuit, a really nice choice of boost frequencies.
+1 From my point of view it's the pre amp/ tone that makes the difference, the fact that they are well built and finished is a bonus. There are many light weight, very playable expensive basses on the market. Sadowskys quite simply are a very good tool, that's why they are chosen by top pros in every genre from metal to country.

    Sadowsky
Sorry but I TOTALLY disagree.
+1..... I know we all have different preferences tone wise, but I personally wouldn't put Sandbergs ahead on build quality having owned both. I think the gigging experience of Sadowskys, does add up (IMHO)
  19. wayne58

    Sadowsky

I would highly recommend going for a Sadowsky, they are versatile, light weight with great tone and have an exceptionally good on board pre amp. Everyone has their own preferences, but I own a Sadowsky 4 string jazz and play in 3 very different bands....from Blues, R&B to original Americana/country and having used Sandbergs, Fenders etc find they work best for me.
  20.
Wayne58 would probably sell you the hipshot with a free bass attachement for £850 Sorry couldn't resist. Cheers Dave
Bargain
  21. Still available bump
