The fee is £10 each. We've done this once before, about a month ago. After the set, he approached the landlord and asked for the dosh. The landlord said "No problem - you got my invoice?". Erm ... what invoice? Turns out the regular House Band know that he HAS to have an invoice to keep the taxman happy, which is perfectly reasonable. Ah well, double bubble tonight then. Incidentally, having spent some time trawling the net I've managed to download some of the unknown tracks. I have to say I rather like the Louis Jordan one, which turns out to be called Caldonia Boogie. Jordan was apparently a VERY influential jazz/bebop musician in the Cab Calloway mould during the 40's/50's and I may have to get some more of his stuff. He's FUN!
Sounds like youll have a great time. My previous comment was slightly flippant as Ive had it happen to me so many times but it all turns out in the end. I always learn something from being landed in the deep end. Enjoy the night and let us know how it goes.

If he's so precious about the set ask him for a session fee
1981 Wal Custom. Mahogany and Schedua. Has the same shape headstock as the Pro' if anyone knows what that looks like. They changed the headstock shape later and moved the machine heads. Pretty well worn especially on the body but everything works fine. Comes with original (grey) Wal case. £700. No problem to come and have a play.
Any pics??

An absolutely wonderful example of the Thundergod himself "John Entwistle" at the very top of his game The Who - Live at the Royal Albert Hall. Magnificent!!! Check out The Real Me and 5.15. I still miss him
I'm offering my Corvette $$ around on a couple of trades, too. It's on the for sale forum atm. Never had a MusicMan before... Interesting?
Thanks for offering the Corvette, nice bass but I've already had some lovely offers which would take precedence over this one. Kind regards Col

I wouldnt leave home without one. Flip down and up during songs....its great Ive had mine for over 10 years and she still works wonderfully with very little maintenance. Well worth the cash for that big bottom D without the need to go 5 String. C

When did someone put a big notice on BC saying 'Sell Here'?
CPBass replied to warwickhunt's topic in Site News
Unlike fleabay we have no way of verifying anything about newbie sellers. I'm not about to part with my hard earned to a complete stranger but there may well be a few on here who are a bit less thorough in their vetting of a bass related item or its seller. I'm well aware that there are those who will shout let the buyer be ware etc and tough luck if you're fool enough to part with your dosh without seeing/collecting it BUT we are a bit of a bass community... aren't we?
+1 -

Im so glad I started this post. We should rename this "The Lost Lives Club", oldhorsemurphy you are so right, no need for the vagina post marriage. My idea is this: There should be an independent guy at the altar or registrar's table at every wedding. He should have 5 mins alone with you just to go over what your throwing away, also he'd invite you for an all expenses paid week in Amsterdam as the jilting escape. How many of us would have married then?? Only kidding but it certainly makes yoy think dunnit? I guess an offer of a tour with Skunk Anansie or the like would get me to jilt. LOL we love em really. Keep posting Col

Just had reapirs done to some effects units. As you know these are notoriously difficult to get repaired. Martin from Owen Electronics did a sterling job with no fuss hassle or breadhead tendencies. http://www.owenelectronics.co.uk/42801.html Your effect pedal woes need keep you awake no more. Best thing is he does modding too. Check him out 10/10 Col
