Hi I have a mint 5 string jazz, I think I paid just about the same that you paid for yours. It's mint and I'm looking to go back to 4 string. Wanna do a swap? Everything is exactly the same.
Hi wolldav - I've tried 5 string and I too returned to 4! So I'm gonna have to pass on that I'm afraid. Cheers though. -
I heard this expression a lot as a kid also, might be a west yorkshire thing, should add I'm an ex Bradfordian also
Once a Bradfordian, always a Bradfordian...

Well I feel better now! I do love to admire kit and also play daily - I think it was Gary Moore who said 'if you walk into a room where you keep your guitars and don't pick one up to play, then maybe it's not for you' - or something like that!
I'm from Yorkshire and I've never once come across that expression. As for your wife, I will remain silent.
I am from Bradford though... my Nan used to say it all the time, pretty much when she played pop with me! You should throw it into conversation next time you're out and see what happens!?
Genius!
Have you met my wife? No jokes please...
She plays pop with you? I've genuinely never heard that expression before.
It's a reet Yorkshire saying....

I'm not sure if this applies to anybody else, but, I've recently had all of my gear at home and I keep it in the spare room. See when I walk past the room, I can't help having a little look in! Just to admire really. My missus plays pop with me about this! I even sometimes go as far as to turn it on so my racklight in the tuner lights up the amp! Do I need help? If you too are affected by this please call bass gear anonymous......

Now then folks, Finally decided to sell this little bad boy: TC Electronic BH250 Micro Bass Head. Recently serviced by Real Electronics in Sheffield after the recall by TC. It's in perfect working order, mint condition apart from a small dint on the top casing. Has TonePrint technology, built in tuner, weighs 4lb and fits in your gig bag! Don't be fooled, this little guy packs a right punch! They are £235 new and I'd like to get £185 but I'm open to reasonable offers! Based in Leeds and can post at buyers expense (roughly £10). I'm not really interested in trades for this, but I was I'd be interested in a rackmount head such as a Hartke 3500/Ashdown MAG/SWR Working Pro... so try me! Here's some pics of this lovely little bass head! Racktuner not included! http://s1336.beta.photobucket.com/user/AnalogBomb/media/ACFBF27E-B6D2-47D2-89BC-A9B90A20E191-29112-00001EB971467319_zps6340a2a6.jpg.html?sort=3&o=2 http://s1336.beta.photobucket.com/user/AnalogBomb/media/E1E906F7-DA83-416C-96BD-2AE0B355B783-29112-00001EB98753CF40_zps85d362ee.jpg.html?sort=3&o=1 http://s1336.beta.photobucket.com/user/AnalogBomb/media/D9B9401C-65CF-4156-9414-5BF14A21A2F9-29112-00001EB995F26496_zpsd7b88185.jpg.html?sort=3&o=0 Thanks for looking!

I've had this happen to me before. I tend to find that my rig/bass set up sounds different at different venues, guess it's got somehting to do with acoustics and stage depth and so on..... I've always found it best to strip back to basics and get a really sweet, clean tone - literally bass - lead - amp and the add FX later. I've also found the benefit of getting a good pre amp/DI, like a SansAmp, Tone Hammer or Hartke Bass Attack; this way you can pretty much take your sound with you and the FOH engineer can take a DI signall straight out, so hopefully you can be sure that the sound you're hearing on stage is the sound out front. I don't leave home without mine! I also used to use Big Muff and as it was great for adding fuzz, it was pretty rubbish at adding that hardcore distortion - for this I use a Boss Bass OD (the yellow one!) I've heard about these Auralex Gramma? pads too... don't know if that would help, perhaps you could add more bass without getting the boom. I guess you don't want to throwing money about on a new rig!?

I found the VU Meter on my old ABM Evo to be completely unrelated in any way to the amp - but it does look cool...... ahhh glowy! Sorry..... but I throught the preamp section was good, but let down by those god awful blue line speakers they put in.

I've been toying with this idea for a while now.. Having purchased this bass last year, I have gigged it, probably only about twice, but due to it having the humbucker style pickups, as oppose to the standard J pup, I'm not sure I can personally get the sound I'm after! Don't get me wrong, this is a quality instrument and in mint condition and in my opinion, outweighs it's £401 price tag that I paid for it, in terms of quality. I'm asking [s]£325[/s] £295 for this or I'd be willing to listen to trades for maybe a Mexican Jazz/Precision or a rack mount head or a CV/VM Tele Bass. I've included some photo's below for you to have a butcher's at! I'm based in Leeds and can deliver within reason, or post at the buyers expense. I'm always open to offers for trades, so try me!
