1. That looks so flimsy, it could break fast!
2. Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders did a terrible version of Help! - but I think it was for comic relief so it probably doesnt count.
3.
Thank you for what appears to be a well researched and scientific response but... nose oil? Seriously?
Apparently, yes. Oh! and I heard KFC grease works too!
4. I,m not really a heavy sweater so I dont bother with the string wiping. I change my strings every 3 months anyway, even if they dont need changing. My problem, is beer or some other liquid spilt down the front of the bass leaving a sticky residue. This is usually caused by me taking a swig between numbers and the band starting the next song before I,m ready!!
5. Its not 'Roid Sally Roid!'
6. The bass player got electrocuted IIRC
7. Am Em Baby, you could never look me in the eyes G Bm C Yeah, you buckle with the weight of the words Em G Stop draggin' my, stop draggin' my Bm C G Stop draggin' my heart around
8. Crikey! What have we done? hounded the poor bloke to quit! I hope he reconsiders.
9. I picked up this little 10 watt guitar amp for peanuts (Well £26.00) its well loud enough to annoy the neighbours.
10. Some folks spend hundreds on relicing. There is also the other option. 11. Norvegicus eh? JJ Burnell uses an open A string on the track 'Sometimes' from Rattus Norvegicus. He then hammers on the C and plays D & E all on the A string. Give it a go, its a good technique to master.
12. Oh, does this mean I can wear my 'I was not ignored by Guy Pratt' T shirt??
13. We do a cover of Life In The Fast Lane. That always goes down well. Does anyone remember an anti- Eagles parody song that went along the lines of: 'Don Henley must die, Please dont let him get back with Glen Frey'!
14. A quick rub of talc will do the trick, not too much otherwise it gets in the fretwires and turns gunky.
15. here's a photo of it. It has the black and gold Squier logo. Actually plays very well. I also got a little Stagg 10w practice amp to plug it into for next to nothing. Trying to learn a little bit of lead on it. Its really not as hard as I thought it would be. If you know scales and chord tones it makes a lot of sense. I,m at the moment working out the lead guitar run down by George Harrison during the verses on The Beatles 'Dont Let Me Down'
16. Ah yes, featuring George Harrison on a Burns bass, after Macca threw a wobbly and walked out of the studio.
17. you would think if they are expecting that sort of money, they would put a few decent photos up
18. Treated myself to a nice Squire Telecaster in butterscotch. I have always fancied one of these.
19.
Its the bit behind your knob

Bollocks.
Another laptop ruined by spitting my tea at it!!
20. I play in 2. A dreadful cabaret type function band led by a halfwit who cant even tune his own guitar, which gets lots of work surprisingly. And a great rock covers band with a great singer which can never get everyone together for rehearsals.
21. Isnt his son Paul McCartneys drummer??

23. Hmm! I wonder if this is a VM model thats been priced up wrong? It certainly feels better made that the affinity basses.
24. It appears that the guitarists and drummer were wearing cans. They didnt want leakage on the drum track. It went OK, I will have another listen when the guitars are down and see if I want to redo some parts. But recording on computer bits can be edited copied, pasted or even quantized, so I,m not that bothered.
25. Had an interesting day. While I was away on holiday in sunny Australia, my band started work on a demo for my covers band. Luckily the singer has a studio in his garage (Yes I know) But I didnt have a clue that they had started work in my absence. The drummer had laid down 7 songs with the other guys without anything else being recorded. Today I go to overdub bass only to find I have nothing but a drum track to follow. They seem to think the bass should be done before the guitars. I agree to an extent, but I feed off the guitars and drums in a live situation. So with the singer giving me cues, I done 7 bass parts in 2 hours!! Not a very enjoyable experience for an old git of 48 The songs: ARE YOU GONNA GO MY WAY- KRAVITZ FEEL LIKE MAKING LOVE- B COMPANY CHILDREN OF THE REVOLUTION- T REX ARE YOU READY - LIZZY OVERDOSE - ACDC ZIGGY STARDUST - BOWIE BORN TO BE WILD - STEPPENWOLF
