the first mistake you made was buying Behringer... i avoid them at all costs now
Agreed. Behringer is the Marlin Sidewinder of bass amps.
You might find for future reference that some shops offer a beat best price policy. I have rang around a few shopswhen I was bass hunting, and asking them if they could beat a rival shops best price. DV247 offeredthe best prices.

who is this guy (i'm a newbie) ... the ad was amusing, he doesnt exactly sell the item very well ... lots of "quite goods" in there lol
He is a legend on here, some say a god! So have some respect for our glorious leader!!

How weird that he wouldn't sell it back to you. I wonder why, you'd think he would just be pleased to have had a buyer and one that he had already had dealings with.
Unless he had made some MDP 'improvements' on it and felt a bit embarrassed about it?

Did it get trapped in your wallet ?
For clarity, Is it the 2nd or 3rd joint from the end of the finger ?
Sorry, its the second joint, or the one above the knuckle. It doesnt seem to be swollen. It seems I need to get myself down to holland and barrett.
Thanks discreet for the pm.

Where on the fingers ? all of them ?
Mainly on the middle finger on the lower joint.

Black is the only colour that ever looks good on any shade of bass in my eyes.
Aye black, its what Leo wanted!!
I have them on my old Squier. They actually look quiet good with the sunburst and tort guard.
However, I dont play it in my covers band, I use it my cabaret band playing fingerstyle over the 2oth fret to get an old fashioned bassey thump.
What the..! Went to have my daily chortle on the Mustang Sally thread, only its not the Mustang Sally thread, its Big Red x and the dark lord arguing over an 8 string bass!
I,m off to talkbass, give me a shout when its been sorted!!
I use a gig bag for general gigging for my Squier P as it is a workhorse bass. My American standard stays in it case at all times, although I agree about the car boot.

Skynyrd did some great stuff and Freebird is one of the best. I've been playing "Don't Ask Me No Questions", this morning. Love it all.
We do Freebird (albeit without the piano) and I must say the bass part is quite tricky. Theres a lot going on, little fills and runs etc, in the long guitar solo fadeout.
I dont understand what the problem is with this song. We are entertainers. We are there to entertain people, and if thats what they want, thats what we give them.
If we only played songs we like, it,ll be a very short set!!
OK. this is the transcription for the whole song from a 1993 guitar magazine. Our guitarist has shed loads of these mags and always seems to have transcriptions for the songs we need.
Enjoy.
Edit. I had a look at Evil Undead's tab and it's good, but it's only for the first half of the solo. The second half is different, although you could repeat the first half. I have done a few variations of this when I have forgotten the order and mixed it up and also changed a few notes. It's worth doing it right if you can and also getting the correct rhythm variations between the verses and all the runs. Also we keep the syncopated bit in the 2nd verse the same as the 1st verse to make it easier. That second verse bit is odd! Our drummer did it in his old band and the bass player did some real lame-ass version for the whole song. Don't make that mistake. BTW you need a decent drummer to get the feel right.
Thanks for that! and Evil Undead too Seems I wasnt too far off. Its a great line, any idea who played it?
Can anyone help me work out what is going on under the guitar solo? I have worked out the first few bars of the solo, but it seems to go off on a tangent with those chromatic runs.
I dont want to use tabs as they are probably are all wrong. I like to use my ear, but must admit it has me beat.
