  1. The crack in the top left pick guard by the screw must be compulsory. (3.40) My Sonic Blue 63 Limelight has the exact same crack in the exact same place! 😁
  2. I went there once in about 1985 as a skint student. Just to have a look around really. I bought a packet of strings which I could barely afford just to have something to take home.
  3. Thin Lizzy - Whiskey In The Jar Lenny Kravitz - Are You Gonna Go My Way Enter Sandman - Metallica Are among the few of our bands' set that I quite enjoy watching the crowd react too. As such, I quite enjoy playing them.
  4. The loud, crashing chord before the final song 'Her Majesty' makes sense now. It is actually the final chord of 'Mean Mr Mustard.' Well, that's worth waiting 50 years for!! 😉
  5. And its number 1 pop pickers! 😁 https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-49931789
  6. I quite like the Oh Darling bass part. I think there is a flubbed note in it somewhere which was left in the final master. George Harrison played some good bass parts on Maxwell and Golden Slumbers which I never knew was him till recently.
  7. Sweet Home Alabama Feel Like Making Love 2468 Motorway. Although its very unlikely that I will never hear them again because I have to play them every ruddy week!! 🤬
  8. The Specials - Encore and The Beatles - Abbey Road 50th Ann Remix on pre-order
  9. I had one a few years back. Well, the 54 MIJ re issue in paisley. The thing that put me off it was that the E string somehow became stuck under the ridge of the single coil pup and nearly ripped the whole thing out! Apart from that I quite liked it even though the output lacked a bit of definition.
  10. There was a New Seekers too. No original members but they had a number one with the Coca Cola advert. 😊
  11. They didnt even write it. Rita Coolidge did.
  12. Theres one on eBay if you're interested. 😁 https://www.ebay.co.uk/i/223663108683
  13. Whine & Grine by Prince Buster. 'If you have your brush you can avoid the rush' What a lyric. I wish I could come up with something like that. 😊
  14. Brian Bethell who played with Nine Below Zero and The Truth.
  15. Nobody ever tells me what to play in my rock covers band. They just say: 'Yea thats great!' Sometimes I wish they would. It would give me something to do!! 🤣
  16. I think its the show thats being critiqued not individual musicians.
  17. Well. Whether or not you're a fan of Limelight relics you can safely say this comes nowhere near them.
  18. I used to think like that until a few weeks ago. With the very hot days we had over summer, the guitars I had paid to be set up were unplayable in a few days. The necks had bowed quite badly. I tweaked a couple very carefully and after a while they settled back again. Really nothing to worry about as long as you are careful.
  19. I assume the drummer has dibs on what music is played in the breaks.
  20. I always take a second bass to a gig but never a spare amp. I guess one day my lucks gonna run out, but theres only so much you can get in the boot of a Skoda Fabia. 😧
  21. I quite enjoyed that R&B thing Roger did with Wilko a couple of years back. But this new effort really does nothing for me. It was almost as embarrassing as that Free As A Bird thing that the remaining Beatles released back in the 90's. 😒
  22. Yes, I saw that the other day. It was quite enlightening.
  23. Anyone over a certain age will recognise this from the early 80,s. In fact, it was hearing this that prompted me to seek out the original Beatles albums.
