  1. Mike bought some strings the other day. Quick payer and hassle free transaction. Would happily deal with him again.
  2. I,m sitting on the toilet at the moment. It is extremely squarnchy in there, because I have eaten a whole packet of Bombay Mix earlier. 😢
  3. Sugar Daddy - Fleetwood Mac. Trying to work out that great bass line, now I cant get it out of my head. 😢
  4. Got these a few weeks back for a recording I did, that wanted an old school thump. Cut for a P or Jazz bass. Only used a few times so still relatively new. £15 posted
  5. Great little bass break in the middle
  6. Played a pub in South Oxey to absolutely no one. A crowd of 18 year olds and possibly younger were in the next room which was completely crowded while we worked our bollox off playing classic rock to an empty room. Eventually we where paid off after the first set and went home early.

  8. I recently picked this upon here for £249. Its bloody brilliant!
  9. Phil Spectors' Wall Of Sound on The Beatles "Long & Winding Road" is a famous example of overproduction. With its wailing choir and flailing violins. I, personally don't mind it. The original unadorned version is just another bland piano ballad with a disastrous bass line. REM got Stephen Hague to produce their debut album album and hated it. What worked with New Order and OMD was not suitable and his synth pop style was out of its depth in a jangly college rock band.
  10. If you cant afford it, you can have it it on finance for £20.71 a month for 24 months. What an opportunity!
  11. Ah. Thank you chaps. I shall have another fiddle. 😊
  12. How can you not love this P bass blue and maple heaven? 😊
  13. Greetings. Just got this today, lovely Yammy 5 string. I have been noodling with it for an hour. I believe it has a 3 band eq. Can someone tell me how the two big knobs and 3 little knobs work together? It has a PJ pickup config but I struggle with running everything flat and working my way through the settings. Yes, I am a plug and play P bass player.🙁
  14. I have played Precisions pretty much constantly since 1984. I read somewhere that budding bassists would play what their idols played. Thats pretty much true for me. Bruce Foxton, JJ Burnel , Phil Lynott ,Horace Panter , Mark Bedford, Sid Vicious...(Only kidding) 😂 I love the simple plug and play of a P Bass. No mucking about, plug in and it sounds gr8 from the off. The Transit Van of bass guitars.
  15. I,m lucky in the fact that I have excellent timekeeping abilities. I dont just mean getting to gigs early, but have a good "Internal Clock" if that makes sense. Give me a good drummer with the same and we are a rock solid rhythm section. My weakness is that as a musician I am lazy. A couple of run throughs and its "Yea, that'll do" 🙄
  16. Kenny bought my Xvive compressor. Quick payment and good coms. Highly recommended! 👍
  17. My mum used to play acoustic guitar along to her Country And Western records back in the early 70,s while knocking back bottles of Emva Cream. My old nan used to play the piano in pubs back in the war. I,m the only one in the present who plays a musical instrument.
  18. Came across this old chestnut on the tube. Simple but effective bass playing from young Tom.
  19. "Oh No! - I cant remember what comes after the solo!!' 😮
  20. I guess I should have bailed earlier. But we had lots of work and a big following. He usually tuned The guitars before I got there.
