  1. Just had a listen to some of it. Its not too bad to be honest, but there is a guitar lick missing from Georges 'Old Brown Shoe' which sticks out like a sore thumb if you know the song.
  2. Hey Bulldog by The Beatles. There is so much going on in the bass department I had to learn it in chunks. I still haven't got it right. 🤭
  3. The theme from the 70's black comedy MASH has a nice bass part, although its buried somewhat in this version. I only found out recently it was Carol Kaye. Although the tune is a bit of a dirge hence its inclusion. Sorry, I've forgotten how to embed YT links as my memory went along with my waistline. 😁 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GIGYLBVjYZA
  4. Hmm, according to this Japanese edition of A Bomb in Wardour Street, I have been singing the wrong words for 40 years! 😂
  5. I bought a Rumble 200 after my little Mark Bass combo went up in smoke. I must say the 15" speaker makes a hell of a difference when I crank it up.
  6. Denny Doherty from the Mamas and Papas. Although I believe most of their hits feature either Joe Osborn or Carol Kaye on bass.
  7. Oh Diane by Fleetwood Mac. With its tuneless dirgery and boring dum dum bass line. Zzz 🙄
  8. I bought one of those Vox headphone bass amps. I keep a pair plugged in to a bass I keep in the corner of the living room in case inspiration hits me. Much to my wifes annoyance. 😆
  9. Poor Elton looked in pain as he hobbled off his piano. Didnt he have a back op recently?
  10. I always saw him as the obligatory eye candy for the ladies. I never really paid much attention to his playing. But I was wrong, he is a great bassist. His work on the first Blur albums alone is top notch. Much more inventive than the Mancunian Beatles tribute act that was much hyped as their rivals back in the day.
  11. Watching The Lightning Seeds on catch up. Now theres a nice trip down memory lane. Dont know how many original members they have left. Otherwise quite enjoyable if only the girl on keys mike was a bit louder.
  12. Yes. He has a new album out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lv_zSwJ8pI0
  13. I thought it was a blue movie ☺️
  14. I have to agree. I love the early Blondie, but she should consider knocking it on the head. This reminds me of Diana Ross at Glasto who suffered similar struggles with the vocals. I think a lot of people defended that performance on the grounds that her IEM were not working correctly.
  15. Nice to see Glen at the IOW playing with Blondie. I didnt know he had joined them. I'm still a bit gypsy's kissed at the way they sacked Nigel Harrison but hey ho. 😟 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kh7m07L26j4
  16. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07TGXK72D/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1
  17. Got them on a facebook market place group. Amazon are offering 29% off at the moment so if they are any good I might buy another pack.
  18. Has anyone tried these? I managed to pick up a pack for virtually half price, so I thought I would give em a go. I am mainly playing Dad Rock on a Precision.
  19. Funnily enough, I recently bought one of these. I havent used it yet, so cant really comment on whether its any good. I do however, have a quick change from fingers to pick during the intro to Lizzy's Cowboy Song which I keep the pick between my teeth. Yes I know! 🤣
  20. I never actually realised how high I had it actually. It seems to rest naturally on my large lower chest though. 😁
  21. I nearly wet myself laughing! 🤣 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vms_6_TSQuc Warning bad language
  22. I do some BV's but I only have a limited range as I found out recently with the several key changes of 'My Generation' when I got to the Bb and was croaking away like a frog! 😁
