1. Have you thought about the Amphones? You can detach the quarter inch jack and use them as regular headphones as well. 2. The Nate Mendels come with a Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounder pickup. They have been getting rave reviews. There were a few on here for sale recently.
3. My trusty stand has finally packed up after many years of hard gigging. What is the average price you would expect to pay for a decent stand that wont fall apart after a few gigs?
4. If you want a bass line where the player is unsure of the chords and hits repeatedly bum notes, have a listen to The Beatles' 'Long & Winding Road.'
5. Reminds me of this post I once read about some lad repeatedly failing his driving test. Some belters in there! https://www.thestude...d.php?t=1428829
6. Bb. A string first fret. You cant tell me that's not a pukka note.
7. I havent slapped for years. I used to do it quite a lot when it was popular. I cant even remember how to do it these days.
8. The Eagles: 'Please Come Home For Christmas' always goes down well for us. A nice slow bluesy 6/8 type of thing.
9. Location/Venue: White Hart, Acton, London Your age: 19 (1983) Your bass: Westone Thunder 1 Your amp: Vox 50 watt combo The set list (some of it): Mainly covers by The Jam, the Beatles and some originals.

13. What do you mean she's not really playing it? You can see it for yourself!!
14. Yes. Its One After 909 from the Anthology as WOT says. "What kind of a solo was that?"
15.
Hi, I will go and try one of those as im not too many miles away from Glasgow can i ask why you got rid of yours? Many thanks, Ben
I didnt really need it. Most of the stuff I do can be easily done on a four string. And I needed the cash
16.
Jaco is not known for playing fast or for playing a lot of notes. He's known for being fatastic. Please tell me your under 60 years of age. Blue
Oh yes.... A bit
17. Weather Report. Everyone loves Jaco, but as far as I,m concerned it just bores me shitless. How many notes can you play, and how fast? (yawn)
18. Have a look at the SUB Ray 5. Very good for the money, I used to have one it was well made and easy to play. https://www.guitar.co.uk/sterling-by-music-man-sub-ray5-walnut-satin

22. Its just taken me 40 years to realise that this is the same tune as Dont Cry For Me Argentina with different words! I must get out more.
23. I used to look like this in 1987. Funnily enough, the bass looks exactly the same as it did back then but I,m 3 stone heavier and no longer have the one chin.
24. Thats gonna give me nightmares tonight!
25. The Affinity's are cheap like the budgie. Cheap hardware, pickups etc. You get what you pay for. They are OK for beginners but I would spend the extra on the VM rather than an entry level bass. The VM's have a good rep and are well built with better quality parts.
