5. My lot want to do a cover of Figure It Out, but as its all done on bass with a plethora of effects, I'm not sure how we can rearrange it for two guitars and bass. How did you guys make it work in a band situation?
 6. George Harrisons version of 'Got My Mind Set On You.' I didnt know it was a cover, I thought he had written it himself.
 7.
Not just A drummer. She was usually THE drummer. A bloody good one, too.
Wow! Thanks for posting that!

 10. Oh yes! A great, powerful rig but small enough to fit in the boot of a Ford Fiesta.
 11. Johnny Depp. Although not widely known for his bass playing, he is definitely cool!
 12.
Has anyone actually opened one in your area in recent years ?
No. Just the opposite. We have lost 2 in my part of West London in the last year.
 13.
Do these have a nitro finish?
I believe so.
 14. Jet Harris was cool nearly sixty years ago.
 15. Is that a C neck profile?
 16. Have you got a Lemonrock page?
 17. I have had a couple of Mexican P Basses and they were OK. My Nate Mendel however, knocks the spots off some US Fenders.
 18. Blimey! Those sharp edges could have someones eye out!
 19.
There are occasions when they can be a bit too much. Did you not find turning the volume down a bit got you in the same territory as a normal P? The QPs are so loud that even if you back off a bit they're still loud enough, but they get a bit more into traditional P territory and lose some of that heavy thump.
Hmmm, not really. I had to play a wide range of covers with a varied set of tones. I found it easier to get a more vintage sounding pickup and experiment a bit with effects etc, than to try and harness and tame the QP.
 20. Well, he couldnt play it but he sure could hold it!!

 23.
Who T F made Leo the boss of bass anyway?
Go and stand in the corner!
 24.
The pickups have a lot to do with why these are so good. Those QP's sound so weighty, I have a P with them in and it's always getting compliments. One suggestion from experience- some people find them a bit much in certain situations and they end up replacing them. If you ever find them over the top, just back off the volume on your bass a bit, they end up sounding like a normal P pickup.
I could never quite get on with the Quarter Pounders. I replaced them with a more vintage sounding SPB1. Apart from that, My Nate Mendel is my most played bass.
 25.
I don't understand what a tug bar is for?
This is the 1962 P Bass used by Greg Lake. Note the tugbar under the G string. Bassists back in the day used to grip with the index and middle fingers while plucking the strings with the thumb.
