2. Definitely black. Its the law you know, like tort guards on sunburst P basses.
3.
Yes, that George Martin was a legend.
Heres a song from his solo album
4. How much is it? I cant see a price?
5. The bass intro to Princess of The Streets is a work of art.
6.
Unless you're talking about the original Boroadcaster/Tele, Leo pinched it off Bigsby & just simplified it a bit: As far as different designs go, I like the old Yamaha SB/SG and their variations & derivatives. Elegant & functional, to my eyes - if I was designing a 4-inline I'd rip that off.
I didnt know that! - I thought Fenders' design was an original idea based on the treble clef.
7. If there was no Oasis, there would be no Beatles!
8. I audition for a band a few years back. I thought it went alright. It turned out I did not get it because although I was no better than the other guy, he could sing.
9. I prefer the later stuff from 1966 onwards. Macca's bass work really blossomed after that. I remember hearing 'Rain' for the first time, I had never heard the bass played so high up the neck, it was an epiphany for me.
10.
Not too shabby either, she knows more notes than Clayton
Naughty
11. His first album recorded live at Abbey Road (Before it was famous) features some great live warts and all British Rock N Roll. And he was only 18 years old. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m4-T7AJHge4
12. Well, I never knew that! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tod8tO9E9I8
13.
Again, issues with 'low post count newbies' allowed on the For Sale section
Newbies selling top boutique basses for four figure sums - with 0 posts on the forum always gets me to scroll through the for sale section with a sigh.
14.
he did the work without consulting you first. You have no obligations
+1 Tell him to go take a running jump.
15.

Was the buyer a well established basschatter, or a fly by night chancer newbie? In which case 'Caveat Emptor'
16. The song. Unless its built around a bass riff. Money, 7 Nation Army, Hey Bulldog etc.
17. Seems to have been corrected now. Still, I wouldn't bother, apparently it 'does need tuned'.
18.
Got a YouTube link for that?
Aye http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fT3sxRK0XCU
19. I also slip The Beatles Day Tripper riff at the end of Alright Now. I pinched it from Joe Walsh who did the same thing on an Eagles DVD
20. How about a walking music tour? I,m going early next year and this is on my to do list. https://rockjunket.com/
21. We somehow manage to segue Smoke On The Water into Rappers Delight
22.
You should know that the whole of Denmark Street is being renovated shop by shop, which is why Wunjo's is crammed into a basement. Should be great when it's all finished. Having said that space is a premium and I'm sure punters and assistants alike would much prefer more space. I find the Bass Gallery to be too cramped as well and the staff in my experience much less helpful than Wunjo's. Davo
I thought Denmark Street was being demolished to make way for crossrail?
23. Experts have modified this instrument over the years in order, no doubt, to further improve tonal quality. Sounds like our old friend is up to his old tricks again!
24. B. It happens quite a lot in my experience.
25. I saw him a few years back at the Ready Steady 60's show at the London Palladium. His son was playing bass. RIP
