1. I had some Robert strings. They were terrible, I took them off after an hour.
2. It seems the shop has had in storage for quite a few years then. Did they sell it to you as A 2014 MODEL? Thats a bit naughty if so.
3. Welcome mate. My In-laws live in Watton near Thetford. They used to have (Not sure if its still there) a big guitar shop just outside the town.
4. There was a song called IIRC called "They're Coming to Take Me Away Ha Ha" The B side was it played backwards and spelt backwards. !AAAH-AH ،YAWA ƎM ƎʞAT OT ʚИIMOƆ ƎЯ'YƎHT")
5.
Yes, anything by this lot. My Daughter was into them big time when she was 14-15.. luckily for me she is over it now. I'd start to get aggressive and angry when I heard him start to scream or shout
Bloody hell what a racket! I dont think it matters what key you play this noisy sh*t in, as he just screams down the mike.
6.
If you're using the cab with just a head, the second socket is a link to a second cab. They'll most likely be wired in parallel so it doesn't matter which one you use when you connect it as a single extension cab to a combo. EDIT: Beaten to it!
Ah! I hoped that would be the case. I have been using combos from the very beginning so am not used to plugging things in.
7. I see this has 2 speakon sockets. Why is this? Sorry to be dumb
8. The Squier bitsa in my sig is my favourite. I know its just a amalgam of bits and pieces, but it just feels so snug.
9. Open a dispute with ebay. I recently bought an iphone 6 from someone on there for a really good price. Of course there was no phone. He was still offering them for sale after I had been fleeced! I believe there were several other people who were done as well. Paypal refunded me in a couple of days. The seller had built up a good seller reputation building up excellent feedback selling cheap tat before reeling us in.
10. Thats a shame. Jon was a regular contributer to these forums.
11. Not to proud to post this bass fail from last Christmas. The Rolling Stones 'Angie ' bass fail at 3.06. An Epiphone Thunderbird which I gigged for the first time that night. Look for the singers dirty look after. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mdx5wdTqDaU
12. Sounds like you may have a hump at the top of the neck. These are common in some Fenders. Take it a shop or luthier and have them look at it.
13.
Oh, and you can only use it in New York otherwise it is "out of phase"....
14. It was on the sky arts channel the other day. I havent seen it yet so I recorded it. I will get around to watching it soon
15. Cheers. I have a bonus due at work, so will spend it wisely
16. Looking at this for my markbass mini cmd 121 combo. I have a couple of questions. How do you connect it to the combo? What is the dial on the side for? I have only ever used a bass combo amp in my recent years, and technology has moved on.
17. I recently moved over to E.B nickle strings after using a mates bass and much preferred the feel and tone to the Rotosound steels I had been using for years. I find the zing goes about the same time as the Rotos, so I dont hold with the belief in some players that nickles die quicker.
18. Angie by The Stones. I have created my own bass line for it, using elements of different songs I have pinched. The band always comment on how good it sounds.
19. I dont bother wiping them after a gig. I always change my strings every 3 months anyway.
20. I found these at the bottom of my gigbag after a clearout. I have no idea what they are, but they are 105-45 gauge. Both of them for £8 posted? Might suit someone on a budget
