1. I always hankered after a Stingray and bought one off here. But the sound was not really suitable for the stuff I was playing. So I sold it and bought the P bass in my sig.
2. These ones do. http://www.bassstringsonline.com/La-Bella-Deep-Talkin-Flat-Wound-for-Thru-Body-Basses--4-String-Set_p_927.html
3. Wunjo's in Denmark St will only do setups etc, on guitars that they have actually sold to you. I was quite surprised by that! However, they did recommend luthiers in the area who would, so kudos the them for that. The grumpy place in Camden do, but they sent me on a wild goose chase to collect my bass that wasnt even ready!
4. My Fender/SKB case offers outstanding protection under normal use. I dont envisige myself taking a chainsaw to it, or chucking it off tower bridge, so its a great case AFAIC
5. My P Bass always goes back in the case during breaks.
6. The Beatles Help! on Bluray. All together now, "Hey! You Got To Hide your Love Away!"
7. That bottom picture reminds me of the picture cover of The Thin wall by Ultravox.
8. This one? http://basschat.co.uk/topic/195283-what-bass-is-that/page__p__1913949

12. The best tech I know is Andrew from Chandlers guitars, just opposite Kew Gardens station, he done a lot of work for me.
13. Yes, It would appear to be a power chord. As stated above, these are just root fifth and octave and are neither major or minor. We do a version of Smoke On The Water which is G Minor to F in the verses, but the guitars just play the power chords while the bass plays a G Minor pentatonic. It caught me out the first time we did it.
14. The F1 bit from Fleetwood Macs' The Chain, makes a great instrumental rocker!
15. 16. IIRC The Fender headtock logo was replaced circa 1982 as it had worn away.
17. It needs the pickup replaced with a single coil Tele style pickup set off centre in the hole, so you can see the wires
18. Yes but, 'It is in excellent cosmetic and sonic condition' You cant argue with that!
19. Are You Gonna Go My Way by Kravitz. I love the intro when the first guitar starts followed by the second and then the bass high up on the top E. Lovely groove too.
20.
Is MDF really MDP?
I miss reading about his 'improvement' of guitars and basses, gave me hours of fun before the basschat ban.
