    I tried some Ernie Ball coated strings last year. They were terrible, sticky and some bits of white fluff kept coming out of them!

    The Vintage Tony Butler P Bass has the tone pot disconnected, (As per Tonys' specifications) the buyer can reconnected it if they want to. Thats a great idea!

    I,m thinking of leaving my band after xmas. In recent months we have become so bad. The drummers embarrasing mistakes, the singers forgotten the words to well known songs and making up his own. People have commented I think I will bail before I become a laughing stock!

    Strange one for me as I dont mind something like 'Take Five' by Dave Brubeck, but I cant stand all that cheesy trad stuff by Kenny Ball et al.

    I agree with you. Thats why I dont wet my knickers at all these idolised bassists a la Jaco, Wooten etc.

    I ordered a bass combo from GAK which came with a US kettle lead, however, I have loads of these leads so it wasn't a problem. They sent me a replacement the very next day though.

    The new type of Fender cases are in the region of a hundred quid to buy seperately. It seems to make sense to sell 'em independent of the guitar.
