1. Why not make 4/5/6 versions all in the same shape/spec and we decide after what looks best?
 2. Wow... I was expecting more replies to this
 3.
I don't think so.
In my experience it is and it's bloody annoying Mind you that is predominantly the metal side of things
 4. Being a keyboard player is a funny one. Personally I've been playing since I was 5 but still struggle to "feel" music on a keyboard. Also as other people have pointed out, it is usually a solo instrument for many years before they'll find a band that isn't some school project or someone looking for a piano player as such most develop their skills as a "lead" instrument. That's all well and good unless you've already got a lead guitar. Most bands these days just want strings / synth pads at some points in the songs. Do any of you realise how DULL that is to play?
 5. Ze spam is gone Otherwise there's a report button in your PM's which can do the job
 6. I've got a tribal planet that I got with my first bass and it's still in pretty much perfect condition after... umm... about 8 years I think Looks like this
 7. Votings up http://basschat.co.uk/topic/200552-february-composition-competition-voting-time/
 8. Excellent turn out this month, apparently landscapes are popular! 10 entries! 9. Sorry guys didnt get a chance when on computer. Will try to put up voting tomorrow
 10.
Don't go bringing religion into it, else this thread will be locked!
IBTL
 11.
Awww guys! You're making me feel like the school swot I always think there's a degree of "grass is greener" when listening to other people's compositions. I hear the entries on here and I'm constantly envious of / impressed by people's creativity, playing and songwriting. You're all better musicians than I am - so I have to rely on other skills like production and synth programming, etc. Trust me, these skills can be learned much more easily than playing chops! Anyway it's great that you like my stuff. This'll sound corny, but the feedback I get from Basschat is always the most valuable to me, so cheers PS: I've said it already, but I'll post some feedback on everyone's entries ASAP. Ah mate, sorry to hear that. What you posted earlier sounded really promising... Still, can't be helped. Family first, always.
I might get a chance to do a late entry, I'll do my best to get it done
 12. I'll start the voting tomorrow. Unfortunately I've got a family member ill so I didn't manage to finish mine (again )
 13.
And another thing. All those who think that other bassists are not to be trusted with a rig presumably think that all the amps and cabs for sale here have been abused to within an inch of their lives and are therefore not worth buying?
Basschat users are special
 14.
Apart from physical damage (e.g. drinks spillage etc) what is the actual risk with sharing gear? Assuming you have cabs rated to take the full whack from your amp, what can someone actually do that will cause damage? Surely people don't use stuff that is so delicate?
Ah but what if your stack can't talk EVERYTHING your amp can throw at it? Or what if they want to use your cab with their amp? Their amp could throw out 2000w and completely blow your cab? What if you play gently and they play hard? With an octaver and a distortion? IMHO it's not worth the hassle or the risk
 15.
I've got something very similar to that, bought in order to be able to get my EBS Pro-line 4x10 cab up the stairs on my own. It's doable, but with the combined weight of the trolley and the cab it takes me at least 5 minutes to get them up the 17 stairs in my flat and leaves me feeling absolutely knackered by the time I've got it to the top. A good idea that is very hard work in practice.
Something to think about cheers
 16. Just got my new cab back home and the first thing i realise is that it's a bit too wide to use the handles on my staircase (bloody narrow thing that it is). Has anyone got any cheaper recommendations than this? http://www.paperstone.co.uk/prod_53561_1742-1748-5031_RelX-Stair-Climbing-Stack-Truck-75kg-Capacity.aspx?utm_source=googlebase&utm_medium=comparsionshopping&utm_campaign=googleproducts&p1=3iFqN7zLnYw1&gclid=CM3Qg7DyurUCFczHtAodzhAA1g
 17. Also I just saw the price of that head
 18. Would that be a description of the sound it makes?
 19. I don't want an even taller one though a Berg NV610 ontop of that covered in cloth would look monstrous!
 20.
Looks good and I'm sure it'll look better with some cloth over it. My birthday is coming up so I might investigate a flightcase, if they arn't too heavy and cumbersome. If not this fold up thing looks promising, if a little short for a 4x10
This one will probably suit... Thinking it might work well with my 6x10 http://www.screwfix.com/p/square-hop-up-work-platform-aluminium/38093;jsessionid=vCBYRpLDD1r9LPR5jmwGj2BLcbQpbCRgxVXfg5sTfsWTyxC8XBt5!1129693404
 21.
May 1986 - I remember it well .
This video is older than me then!
 22.
I am really tempted to get one of these to solve the same issue as it seems perfect, but..... i cant help thinking it will look rather silly on stage comared to just buying another cab to go underneath! not very rock n roll is it. lol.
If you're worried about that then print something to go on the front of it or throw a cloth over it
 23.
I use my NV610 with a Mesa 750. Tone heaven for rock/metal.
This would be well on my radar if it wasn't for the cost!
 24.
Absolutely! If you can, perhaps save for an all tube
I would get killed by the gf at that type of cost. That would have to wait until after I've managed to get a deposit together for a house unfortunately
