2.
That's some challenge! How about Meshuggah - Bleed I don't know which is harder... the right hand technique or the timing!
I definitely see what you mean, I'll have to give it a shot and see how I get on with it but at the very least this will end up turning into an excercise for my picking technique
 3. I have to admit that the behringer looks like the nicer bit of kit there, but... you still wouldn't see me using a bloody Ipad live though. Nothing beats the feel of good quality faders and a tap in the wrong place on one of these with mess everything right up!
 4. Well for the first time I nailed the "bass solo" bit of pull me under. Arms acheing a bit after the continuous looping but YAY
 5.
What's it like to be a tribute artist ? Garry
He's ok as long as he can find the tab for the songs
 6. Whichever one feels right on the night and has the right attitude. If both equal then, then it's stage show (so the girl might have the edge there), then convenience. Make sure to test both for writing ability too Also... lucky git!
 7. It's another nail biting one as the end draws nigh!
 8. Get your girlfriend to marry an american dump him then marry you? Good luck with it though.
 9.
Steve Harris gets his own signature pickup : http://www.musicradar.com/news/guitars/namm-2013-seymour-duncan-rolls-out-steve-harris-pickups-570083
NEED!
 10.
iv got one of these, Amazing piece of kit, for bass as well as guitars. i just wish i still had access to a mesa bass 400+ so i could make some awesome valvey profiles there isnt anyone close by who fancies bringing a decent valve amp round for a play is there?
I'd love to give one of these a try at some point. I think they have a library you can download from now so may be worth checking on there?
 11.
My button appears to be broken......
What do you mean mate?
 12.
I dread to think at the retail price of them, looks like they've cut no corners on quality and material so they will be pretty expensive.
That's ok, you can buy mine for me
 13.
Haaaaaaaaaa. Worth it.
14. Yep, one of those in Makena Blue would do nicelly please

 16. What have I done introducing you all to spoiler tags
 17. I would argue that some like the Kemper amps would probably have to "technically" the best amps out there. Purely because they can sound like any amp you want them too
 18. Ummm... how the hell did we get onto religion and rising sea levels in a car thread The rising sea level thing can carry on as no harm done etc... Lets drop the religion talk though please, forum rules etc
 19.
Have you tried lowering the pickup on the E string side? It could just be too close to that string giving more output
Or you could be hitting the E string harder! You may laugh, I did experience this when someone told me they had a problem with a bass
 20. Fully agreed on the hi-hat front, although I have actually been pretty brutal with it (I just felt that it played such an integral part to the rhythm that I had to have it above that "shaker" sound). As for that snare... it's wishy-washy because I wanted to delete it completely (I did at one point) but felt bad doing so Next month I'll be more brutal where needs be drummers don't have feelings do they?
The reverb is completely overpowering the vocal, and everything else too a bit, you're forgiven, if oinly because you didnt live through the 80's
Funny you should say that, it's what I was aiming for all the compressors, EQ's and Reverbs I used were "vintage" emulations from the renaissance waves pack (new toy syndrome). As for the static mix, yep totally agree. In my defense though I'm used to cutting back a bit on "the cool stuff" as I tend to mix an entire album at a time and this particular song struck me as the one of those that should balance the rest. Also... I only found 2 hours to do any work on this
 21. I did consider making a website for this type of thing once, then laziness took over
