  1. [quote name='gapiro' timestamp='1359050838' post='1949117'] I have to say, one of those REALLY caught my attention. Great tunes. (Is it ok to comment on individual songs?) [/quote] Ofcourse it is, it's a nice idea to use the spoiler tag so that people don't get preconceptions before voting though. Spoiler tags are like these [spoiler]Look a spoiler![/spoiler] and you can either put them in using the "special BB code" button (3rd in from top left, just to the left of font) or just type [#spoiler] [#/spoiler] (you just need to remove the #'s from those
  2. I'm going to err on the side of caution and ask (due to recent events) that we be careful to stick to facts. I know everyone is trying to help but we (as a forum) have to be careful not to get chased down for defamation. That being said, NURZE please let us know how you get on!
  3. It could do with a up down switch for changing between effects to be honest
  4. [quote name='jazzmanb' timestamp='1358779595' post='1944821'] armando at prometeus loves multi string builds,he'll build to spec for a modest fee... [url="https://www.facebook.com/prometeusguitars"]https://www.facebook...rometeusguitars[/url] my 4 string is in my pic [/quote] Pretty sure he's a member on here... his names something like mattblack or matteblack iirc.
  5. [quote name='bob_pickard' timestamp='1359028309' post='1948607'] Good Voice; Crap equipment = Crap Sound [/quote] Slightly disagree with this one in that I've heard a really excellent singer through a really rubbish mic and pa and she still sounded amazing through it
  6. People are still busy from the xmas period is my guess. I'm forcing myself to get a "good" entry in next month

  8. [quote name='OldG' timestamp='1359016007' post='1948409'] Wouldn't have thought I'd need to simplify that - but here goes... The OP found that his voice wasn't what he expected to hear when amplified, even though he was happy to sing generally. This indicates to me the 'sound source' is 'sound' - but the mic/amplification wasn't set up for him. Combine this with little or no experience of using a mic/PA - and you get the same result as the OP described. I've seen it happen a few times myself.... A bit like learning on an acoustic guitar and then trying out on a Strat through a Marshall stack for the first time. [/quote] I think the OP was suffering more from "voice inside the head" syndrome. Basically not sounding the same outside their head as they did inside their own head. No amount of fancy Microphones or PA will resolve this as it requires training (which the OP already has said). Unfortunately for some of us microphones only amplify what is put in (and put a "generally" minor EQ on the voice as part of the process) so it is somewhat different to your guitar analogy I'm afraid.
  9. Maybe it's just because I work in a manufacturing technology company then
  10. I have done in the past when there was nothing else to hand
  11. [quote name='thisnameistaken' timestamp='1358953132' post='1947535'] Hmm. I imagine that was technically difficult to do, so well done to whoever did it, but the outcome is pretty plain. [/quote] Listening to it I expect melodyne was used as iirc they have a thing where you can "retune" polyphonic instruments
  12. Why can't I stop smiling at this?!
  13. Nah, it's not in a format that I could happily submit to be honest but it will be uploaded when I've finished it
  14. If this is the same one mcgraham had then I've only heard good things about this little beauty. Just incase any extra info can be gathered for potential buyers I've dug up the original thread : [u][b][url="http://basschat.co.uk/topic/187235-sold-martamp-mjw-amps-roadstar-tt/page__p__1809232__hl__roadstar__fromsearch__1#entry1809232"]READ THIS[/url] [/b][/u]for more detail. Good luck with the sale PS. The best method to upload pictures currently is to upload to something like photobucket or flickr and then just link to there
  15. [quote name='Skol303' timestamp='1358897433' post='1946940'] I might just have it painted with My Little Ponies (or something) to thwart you! [/quote] Jedward inlays
  16. I think the lefty part could make this a difficult one to predict
  17. To me it read as if they've "adopted" the same manufacturing techniques/standards to improve quality (in the form of robustness) and reliability.
  18. I'm not "too" bad on hitting notes and my voice is particularly thin either my problem... tone. But I've started working on it by recording myself to tracks into protools so I can listen back
  19. I'm wondering similar to the above but using a compressor and an LS2 to blend
  20. £10 for a bass body alone would be worth it I guess. Even if the neck / paint / accessories are knackered
  21. Here's mine so far just so you all know I wasn't COMPLETELY slacking https://soundcloud.com/thebrokensky/life-in-the-shadows
  22. [quote name='Joe Sanborn' timestamp='1358941602' post='1947293'] [color=#000000]This investment to manufacture to MIDAS quality standards has allowed us to increase our warranty from 1-year to 3-years on all BEHRINGER products from the X32 down to a DI box.[/color] [/quote] This line alone fills me with more hope than the rest. Also, welcome to Basschat
