1. Mine wont be shown this month although I showed what I had to my newer band and they want to use it. Once its in a workable format ill upload it for you all to see. Named 'life in the shadows'
2. Ive got work in progress but its still in guitarpro form atm
3.
MIDI uses way less processing power than audio. However if it's controlling a VST/AU instrument that's a different matter.
I think that would depend on the samples it was triggering. Certain soundbanks can be horrendous
4.
Ok, thanks. Didn't quite know where to put it
No worries, Things that you fit to a bass are generally accessories (pickups, strings, capos). It's no hassle moving stuff every now and again. There's actually a review section on here too that it may be worth having a look at (then feel free to start a thread that just let people know that a new review is up.
5. For me the challenge is what intruments I can play and what I can't, this is also why I havn't been entering all that much.. I reach a stumbling block in what the song "needs" and can't fulfill it. For this same reason I'm now trying to actually incorporate the basic playing wherever I can or to alter the song to suit my strengths. However, I tend to write quite a lot by "theory" rather than by ear once I have a riff. I'll sit writing in notes in tuxguitar or reason without even having an instrument in my hand sometimes.
6.
Well, the bass sounds great at gig volumes. But two songs in, and it was history! I can still feel it 18 hours later! But for home/sit-down gigs/rehearsal/recording - it's the one!
A bass designed for maximum visual impact isn't going to get seen then? Seems a little odd tbh
7. I think it needs an ebony board instead of rosewood tbh, for me the red in the rosewood doesn't really go with that awesome blue finish all that well
8. Nice work have you considered trying to tie a real drummer and the beatboxer (is that even the right word?) together?
9.
Agreed 24th as the last day of voting - although I dont know how I can stop people voting after then, other than to put the results up to that point into the OP?
Yeah that's the best way mate
10. I'm guessing you didn't buy on BC otherwise I doubt you'd be asking. I have absolutely no idea though I'm afraid, it's all a bit too generic. They look similar to my Newtones but those chances are pretty slim.
11. This may seem like an odd question but how do the faders feel on it? I hate light faders on mixers, the nicest "feeling" desk I've had the pleasure to use was a mackie onyx (1640 I think)
12. Fender and MM are probably bought more often purely because of the "resale" value
13. Hi Carld, Please post a price for the bass.
14. This may sound a little stupid but why not either : Buy an active corvette from the start and save yourself the hassle or Buy an active corvette that's wrecked and just take what you want out of it and keep the rest as spares?
15. Are you sure the p pickup hasnt been upgraded to a newer one with a hotter output?
16. Meh, presets and footswitches are better for that IMHO, stereo in / stereo out would have been much handier
17.
Fair enough, but this amp only has one output, so won't do that, will it? Just spotted another application though: if you've two bassists in your band, they could both go through this one amp. So that's Ned's Atomic Dustbin sorted!
I thought it had two outputs.
18.
Exactly the reason for me enquiry! - I think this one has dip switches inside to pull back the input gain - but yes, with my rig, I'd need to try before buy.
Just make iGuitar let you do a section on compression pedals
19. Not many controls on that Dood, especially with the high output on your basses I would want to try before you buy.
20. I think the reason for the extra drop tuning is so that there's no need to "re-learn" the songs. Just play what you were before and it's lower. It's usually my approach in this situation too. But then my basses are currently tuned : ACG: CGCF P Bass : DADG / EADB Yamaha : BEADGC So I have most bases covered
