1. I would say it's on its way to getting some character, but that's just me
2.
What should've happened is for Taylor Hawkins to guest on drums, Dave grohl vocals etc. that would've been better IMHO
Good call
3. Maybe he's set the price a little more than he's hoping for so it's the "starting" point for negotiations
4. I still prefer CDs to ANYTHING... I like to own something I can throw around... this has since been advised against after an incident involving my singer and his blood...
5. I looked at it for ages wondering what looked wrong... then it struck me... no knobs! Very nice
6.
+1 for the Dunlop Jazz III picks. Used to use the tortex ones as well myself (purple ones, not sure of the thickness) and they were good but once I tried the Max Grip Jazz IIIs, I never looked back. It feels like you have so much more control and I haven't had one slip out of my hand yet. If they are I might buy a few packs! (Read: About 10...)
7. Heres an idea someone put up a midi drum track and well each bounce our favourite drum sound out
8. I prefer to be on the left, although we don't have a drummer. It's just where I'm more comfortable
9. I have ssd if you want to pop round and check it out
10. Also check out steven slate drums
11. 2 please if they're still available
12.
If you want to leave the strap permanently attached you don't need straplocks. Simply drill a small hole through each end of the strap, unscrew the strap button and reattach with the strap between the button and the body of the bass.
I had not heard of this before but it makes perfect sense. Nice one
13. What cab were you using? If it's the RS210 etc it's probably worth dialing back the tweeter too
14. Roll back the treble on the precision, roll back the treble and low-mid and tubetone on the classic would probably be my starting point
15. 24th... So Xmas eve... maybe we should push it to day after boxing day because I won't be at a laptop until then I expect
16.
I'm probably not even close to 200. It's weird really, I've been playing in bands on and off for nearly 30 years, albeit with many dry spells. I haven't been nervous doing gigs for about 28 years, and I am completely comfortable on stage. In fact I feel happier and safer on a stage than anywhere else.
Thats how my last gig felt! Im hoping it wasnt a one off
17. A drink each could be pricey! Any woods or finish in mind yet?
18. I know, luckily a fellow BCer dropped me a line letting me know about a dedicated metal pub who now seem quite keen for us to play
