1.
Awesome guys I cant wait to get my play room sorted soi can join in. THis is fast becoming the best part of the site A credit to all of you guys & Charic should always get a pat on the back for this !
One of these days I'll get the time to post a proper entry
2. Nice one Si, So the first one up is running from now until when, last week of January? Maybe I can get the winner from the composition thread to upload their stems
3. Ok guys, just had it confirmed. As we're updating stuff at the moment there are likely to be a few glitches here and there throughout the day. Seeing as you're all supposed to be working instead of on BC anyway (actually I should be too )
4. Just remember you can't remove effects that are recorded on
5. Yup, a mate of mine had one of their pedals. It didn't sound very good so he upgraded to something else. He decided to signify this momentous occassion by breaking the pedal. Funnily enough the first thing we tried was throwing it at a wall... it took a chip out of the wall
6. There seems to be an error with the mobile site... eek... Although we are undergoing some maintenance today so fingers crossed that's it.
7.
Wickid! I have a CT too. It's an absolute beast. Best bass I have ever owned/played used as a mirror.
Fixed
8. ^ Correct! It's an Extended Range Bass
9.
Agree with all the above, and add this which is a fabulous resource, its like Radio 4 for sound engineers (but American):- http://www.pensadosplace.tv/ Some real gems in there once you get past the inevitable love ins with the guests.... Also there is this:- Mixing Secrets For The Small Studio Which reminds me, there is a monthly photo comp, a monthly compositional comp, what do you guys think about a monthly mix comp? WOuld anyone have the time or inclination? Winner chooses the track on that page to mix next....
I'd be up for a mix comp I think. I can usually mix pretty quickly in comparison to my composing Drop me a PM and we can discuss the potential rules etc.. and maybe we can set it up in the new year?

New Zoom B3

In all fairness dood... you're basses do have a VERY hot output
11. Maybe it's a little bit of an earlier edition. It might be worth reposting it on in the Bass Guitars Section as you'll likely get more hits.
12. It can only be this one for me [sharedmedia=core:attachments:34313]
13. Here's an interesting one for you My Hiscox Bass case lock has decided to lock itself open. If I try to unlock it with the key it doesn't work at all. Anyone else had this?
14. Could be your pickup height. Lower the E string side a bit and raise the G string side a touch?
15. Another happy band guy here : The organisation is pretty bad but it's mostly down to the fact that my singer has recently lost his job and has to take any work he can possibly get lately, so we'll let that slip. I enjoy playing the music, it tests me mentally and physically and after half an hour of playing our tunes I'm usually knackered but if the adrenaline is flowing I'm knackered with a smile. Everything is finally falling into place for us now:

Our first album is nearing completion
We have our first headline slot on the 30th Nov at a gig I've organised.
We have an excellent support band (my only worry is being show up )
The posters I designed are now being put up and getting complements from everyone
It's the longest slot I've ever played ( Hour and a half)
We're getting asked to play shows next year both as support and headline (with one particular band coming from the US and wanting to support us on the tour... )
Very happy indeed
16. It's being looked into, hopefully a swift kick will put it back where it belongs
17. Lodestone are made by ashdown. They got quite good reviews but a fair few people didn't get on with the looks. I always quite liked the looks but never saw one in person/ They can be found on this site http://www.lodestoneguitars.com/
18. My one like this : http://www.guitarguitar.co.uk/bass_guitars_detail.asp?stock=12102213315758 Cost about £170 brand new, the price isn't everything though. The only reason I sold mine is because the neck was a little too skinny for me (this is because I'm weird though), it had a very good tone to it
19. Here's a page full http://www.guitarguitar.co.uk/search.asp?submit.x=0&submit.y=0&search=peavey+mille
20. This may come across a bit silly but... I would advise upping your budget a little bit, the main reason is purely because in that price bracket you might get a lump of wood that makes it harder to get on with. However, if you CAN raise your budget a little bit but are worried about making a loss on reselling then go second hand (on here is your best bet). That way when you come to sell it on you won't make much of a loss at all : Some bargains to be had on this page : http://basschat.co.uk/topic/170606-fs-relisted-repricedi-dont-need-themthey-must-be-gone/ This would probably be my pick though at £130 : http://basschat.co.uk/topic/184803-spector-q4pro-now-l130/ My first bass that done me well for a while was a peavey millenium BXP, here's an ex-demo for £99 : http://www.guitarguitar.co.uk/bass_guitars_detail.asp?stock=12102213315758
21. Didn't see you were in Finland!
22. Remember to bear in mind that if you sell the ray on here then you're more likely to get it back should you ever want it. Oh, and you'll probably get more
