1.
That bass scares me. It seems like the sort of thing a wife would kill you with.
Naaah... that's what my first choice is for
  2. Next time you're about get me this one will you http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Esh_Poseidon_5_Black.html
  3. I've decided to up the entire set by .005, I was on the thickest core they had and I still wasn't quite happy. We'll see where we get to now
  4. There's one of those for sale here IIRC
  5. You can see them in the cinema apparently
  6.
Wow - flame brigade! I'm surprised by the negativity on here - I wonder how many BC members would appreciate being told they're s**t when they post their little you tube vids.
As always, I'd rather have someone tell me constructively than think it but nod and smile.
  7. Also voted cancer research due to a ongoing battle in the family
  8. I thought this was... http://basschat.co.uk/topic/177330-first-shuker-bass-ordered-pics-added/page__st__20 Thought it was a quick turnaround
  9. The only thing that it's worth taking into consideration is that Northampton is only an hour and a half from surrey and about the same from where I run the EA Bass Bash, I expect you'd likely draw much of the same crowd.
  10. Bbm, Eb, Bbm, F, Eb, Eb, Bbm, Dm, C, F, Bbm, Bbm Just because it would fit the key (IIRC) never heard the track though just going by what you've posted
Well done to all involved in the work that goes on behind the scenes
Image capture of Icastle trapped in the depths of "off topic"
  12. I'm hoping to finish mine on saturday weather allowing (there's no light in the garage ) It's very satisfying making these things yourselves (although I am being helped by someone who is more competent with tools than myself)

I think I'm probably more than one of them I regularly visit from work, home and mobile... I have a problem
  15. Lovely bass, shame about the skinny neck though
  16.
AFAIK he's never actually used the quarter pounder pickup And I don't think he's ever used a DBS rig? Could be wrong. He uses custom marshall cabs which he's used for ever, which are like the VBA 412s but are more like the guitar cabs. And trace heads, pretty sure that's been his rig for donkeys years!
From the SD site : players Mark Hoppus / Blink 182, Ian Grushka / New Found Glory, Anthony Celestino / Box Car Racer, Jay Bentley / Bad Religion, Melissa auf der Maur / Smashing Pumpkins & Hole, Steve Harris / Iron Maiden I'm not saying it's right though
  17. Not looked at the vids (at work) but I think he used to play a fernandes jazz?
  18. I quite like it and a lot of people seem to agree with my description of the album as : "The bastard child of Queen, Franz Ferdinand and Skrillex with a bit of Foo Fighters chucked in"
  19.
Heya mate! So does the winding continue at full thickness as it winds around the post? Or does it stop just short of it? I cant remember if your bass was String thru body or not! I have emailed them. R.
Nah it's not full thickness right the way down. It is thinner at the winding point. The strings are pretty long IIRC. I'm sure they could sort something custom for you if you needed it. They're pretty helpful.
  20. To be honest although the idea of a national bass bash is nice I doubt it would happen as:

It would have to have some significant value over another local bash
Be guaranteed to get the attendance needed
A bigger venue would be needed to host the "potential" for more people coming
A national bass guitar show already exists above and beyond this scale
21. Funnily enough I spent ages getting everything spot on on one of the songs for my bands album.. by itself it sounds shocking to say the least. In the mix it sounds pretty damn good if I do say so myself
  22. Sorry dude I'd have to unwind mine to check (which reminds me I need to order spares..) I've never really paid any attention to it either, give them a phonecall, they're pretty helpful
  23.
National bass bash sounds like a great idea! Somewhere central between the top and bottom of the country, probably northish midlands, notts/derby/Sheffield so extreme south and north have equal chance of getting there?
Says the guy from sheffield
