1. I think you should ask for £1,000,000 that way if you land one gig you can do the rest for free if you like

The BA115 operates at 100W where as the BA112 is only 50W. 100W is a bit short for live if you're talking about a loud drummer. Rule of thumb is "generally" around 300W How about one of these? You probably won't find one second hand yet though http://www.thomann.de/gb/tc_electronic_bg250.htm

Doubt it... are you against looking second hand then?
4. Basses are generally made of pretty sturdy stuff, it'll take a lot to more than scratch a bass so I think you'll be fine there. As for the theft thing. Put it straight in the car afterward

Or this and the change PEAVEY

I'd rather have this and the change AMPEG
7. What sort of budget are you on? For the whole setup. Do you need to record stuff simultaneously or are you happy recording everything one part at a time?
8. I'd have a look at one of these, no midi though (although you could do that seperately) http://www.dv247.com/mixers/mackie-onyx-1640i--67613
Cab wise its going to be Barefaced
Already outside of budget
10.
I've always found that my tolerance for music that I wouldn't normally listen to is much higher when I'm actually playing it.
Yeah same, recently I wanted an audition for a band (indie) they asked me who my influences are and what I listen too. They refused to audition me based on that! I actually got chatting to the drummer about metal last night though which was pretty cool. Although I've already told them I refuse to cover anything by the darkness
11. Yep, JMB is pretty good. Also check on here in the Other Musicians Wanted bit
12. I didn't bury it in the mix.. the RH450 goes from very quiet to VERY LOUD in about a mm so I tend to tread on the side of caution when the practice is in somebody elses house
13. They're still in touch / texting so I didn't "scare" them atleast
14. I just hope the other bassist isn't another basschatter
15.
Well done. I normally make sure I'm pretty low in the mix..
Yeah I did that... then they told me to turn up
16. Quite like that, just listened to the one track at the moment (and on headphones) but it sounds really good
17. Only a complete change of tact from the death metal band I'm in I auditioned for a cover band last night and absolutely loved it, I don't listen to this type of stuff in my spare time but really enjoy playing it. First impressions, very welcoming atmosphere cool guys and girls.. good so far. I turned up a bit early (always do, I can't stand being late) and the drummer was behind schedule, fine by me it gave me a chance to "settle/warm up". It turned out they were auditioning a new singer on the same night (who had been asked to learn 4 completely different songs) but seeing as I was there anyway I ended up joining in with these songs (2 of which I hadn't ever heard before ) and everyone seemed fairly happy, which can only be a good thing (hopefully!). Onto my 4 tracks, the arrangements were a little different to how I had learnt them but mostly recovered quickly and didn't notice any sideways glances They've got one more audition to go and then I find out, I've never had to wait to hear back and it's bloody killing me
18. Well win this won and you can pick the next picture
19. Interesting that the post was removed yesterday and the ad was posted yesterday..
20. Am I to assume that you're all too busy to post as you're pulling allnighters working on your tunes?
21. I would recommend going out and trying a whole range of basses without the view of buying to begin with. This way you can try a range of basses above and below your price range with no pressure on your shoulders. Once your hubby has found what he does and doesn't like out each bass he tries then post back here and I'm sure we could point you towards a "combination" of your favourite parts of the basses. As has already been mentioned here, the forum has some excellent basses 2nd hand at very little money (and you won't be paying any kind of markup for it being in a shop).
22. I think you should check out the composition competition ;-)
23. No matter how hard I try I just don't "get" jazz, good playing though
24.
It was mixed by a bassist
There's your problem when you mix you can't be a bassist at the same time (sounds silly but it's bloody difficult to do)
