1. I've already ordered this thanks, its just for switching the interface between two different computers. If its just going spare then I might still be interested though, thanks!
 2.
Sounds as though Ashdown didn't think that part of the design through. I'd drop them a line and tell them about it - hopefully feedback like yours will help them decide to choose a different connector for future models. As for securing the current connectors, silicon probably isn't suitable as it becomes soft at temperature. Perhaps a little blob of clear nail varnish would work better - once it's dried it stays solid at a much higher temperature.
I'm curious, how much nail varnish do you have lying around the place?
 3. I expect this is something that only BRX has heard of
 4. I have honestly never considered this... I'd guess it shouldn't make any difference but my pick would be from the G string end (shorter distance to travel)

 6.
due to sixteenth notes in 5:4 or alternating 7:4/9:4 bars etc).
Lightweight I accidentally wrote a riff in 19/16
 7.
Don't be ridiculous. Who the hell are Fender?
I think they're like squier
 8.
With the 3. MB1, Charic and SFN are top guys too.
Thanks dude, I appreciate it, I really do. But please try to consider how this is going to be taken by those you havnt listed I know how I'd feel about it.
 9. Protools is (for me atleast) the most intuitive of the bunch once you get if the initial hurdles. I can only access on my mobile at the moment so can't really investigate the differences between se and standard 10.
 10. I just found the whole experience of the Juno "thin", like there was no meat to the sound and generally less fun to fiddle with. in some ways I find keyboards much more personal than basses and generally speaking much harder to recommend.
 11. I think there's a kala in a store me for less than 200. Will have a check when next in town
 12. I was very underwhelmed by the Juno to be honest. Have you considered the MIDI keyboard route with rackmount sounds?
 13. Alternatively, he's worked out he's working with idiots
 14. If you get stuck give me a shout. It's been a few years but I'll help where I can :-)
 15.
Ive been using an old, and very un padded, Levys gig bag for the past 6-7 years but i think i need a new one. I know there are many very good bags around but it has to have a full length shoulder strap, so when its on one shoulder the top sits around head height. I definitely do not want to wear it like a rucksack nor have it sticking out above my head by a few feet etc. I used to have a angular EBMM bag that had a strap that covered the whole of the back, that was ideal although because of its shape i felt it was a bit too bulky. Money is a consideration but im willing to pay for something nice. For what its worth the Levys bag has served me very well throughout my 7 year GAS period, all my basses have travelled up and down the country in it (one at a time, obviously and while i know a lot of you need to have fully padded bag's its something that ive never really needed so a lot of padding isnt a priority. In fact the slimmer the better. Any suggestions appreciated. Cheers
Maybe a picture of what you are trying to replace? With you wearing it would probably be most useful
 16.
Anyone that doesn't suggest "Both" is a disgrace to GAS.
In which case, ALL
 17. Out of interest how many things have changed as little as the precision over this period of time and still sell in stupid numbers today?
 18.
So entirely seprate websites and different URLs, I gather? Then I see no problem with diluting the audience, TBH.
I don't have any "insider" information unfortunately it's just based on how I read the previous posts My reasoning is that guitarchat wouldn't be "guitarchat" if it was actually basschat... does that even make sense?
 19.
elitist
I'm not sure I like being called "elite", it confuses me. Kindly refer to me as "scum" like everyone else
 20. I think guitarchat and drumchat are different forums rather than an extension of this one. So the communities would crossover in places but for the most part be seperate (some people may be on more than one forum).
 21.
Well executed in the bass department, no doubt about that. The only thing I'd suggest is that unfortunately the backing track is really badly clipping throughout through my monitors. Pull the overall level back and work on the mastering and you'll be laughing. Drop D tuning yeah?
It's not clipping through my headphones... weird
 22.
Fixed.
I don't have any 5 strings
