1. You mean Eleanor? Yeah Always (It's in drop c though )
2. I'm going to try and make it and if I do I will definitely be up for giving it a bash
3.
I don't really know what markbass cabs sound like. The EAD cab has a very full, complete sounding frequency range- unlike the Aguilar 12's I played through at a gig recently(for instance) that were all top and bottom but not much mid.
I always found the markbass cabs somewhat harsh... I have to admit these cabs are intriguing me very much
4. I know you can do this in logic (picking the bit of audio you want to "sample" is generally easier than a "real life" sampler too). Not got any experience of garageband though
5.
Well, like Ewan, I bought one of the prototypes. I'm actually a bit shocked how good it sounded in rehearsal today. I'm not really used to this sort of high fidelity. I used it with my 27- year old H/H 100watt amp and hardly used the amp's tone controls at all. Everything was there already and it sounded fantastic with a much fuller midrange than a typical 12" cab. Band mates also very impressed. It's a wonderful cab and a great design. I hope Dave puts these into full production soon. I think they'll do really well.
When you say HiFidelity do you mean in a similar sort of way to a Markbass?
6.
Well, they've not reappeared..,
Reappeared this morning... The bananas were bad... how are those pomegranates coming along Icastle? The blackberries still on the vine Gust0o? I heard dood got a aubergine
7.
Hi Kiwi, How does Basschat go about appointing new moderators? Do members put themselves forward, or do you approach members privately? Has there been a vote that I've missed?
The memories will haunt me forever... You weren't there maaaan, you weren't there...
8. Fair point... I want a B3k or B7k from the vids but I need to find one to try out (and then be able to warrant it when I should be saving for a house..)
9. I'm not going to have internet for a little while at home but if you're still looking in a couple of weeks I can take a couple of clips from my m50 if you like?
10. Do any of them have a decent distortion though? From what I'm reading that's usually what's lacking
11. I love playing keys, just not live... it gets a bit dull
12. I need this is my life http://www.dv247.com/keyboards-and-midi/korg-kronos-x-88-music-workstation--100021
13. Time yeah.. kinda.. Tools I can borrow On a side note 51m0n do you know if using the USB switch would likely introduce any problems with the MBOX?
14. Yep it got a few scratches when I moved it from my grandads garage but they'll smooth out
15. It's rented acommo and not likely to be anywhere near an "ideal" room unfortunately, just somewhere nice to work and mix
16.
Nice set-up! you might like this http://www.amazon.co...c_df_B002DUCK12
Cheers! Do you know if it'll cause any latency or noise issues?
17. I can recommend the Korg M50 but give it a go before you buy ANY keyboard. Yamaha keyboards are generally very good aswell (Tyros series should see you right)
18. What kind of budget are you looking at?
19. BA115 is a great little amp but I havn't tried the 112 unfortunately
20. The bassist can also be blind testing and I know someone who's a very consistent player who may help if we ask nicely
21.
A lot of players may find this a worthwhile upgrade.
Don't use this is you have any kind of scratch in your ear at the time... It gave me an ear infection In all fairness once I read the instructions I found out it said "don't use on open wounds"... my fault
22. We have to have sufficient interest as well, the last EABB flopped and I had to hold a hat out (to which people responded greatly, but made me feel like crap)... I really don't want that to happen again. Great ideas although it's the line between theoretical and real world that needs to be blurred a bit more IMHO.
23.
All this would prove is what that particular amp sounds like though a particular cab. A different amp (or different settings) may produce very different results. Where flat eq might sound great through one cab, another might need to be heavily eq-d but may give more preferable results once you've done so. +1 to the band testing. I've played loads of rigs that have sounded great until I get them in a band situation and vice versa.
That's why we use more than one amp I doubt band testing is really going to happen as it is a LOT more to organise
24. I know it's all about the sound but they look like they're losing a lot of the character of the pedals
