1.
If anyone tops this, I want to see the equipement list !
Foxen maybe? Although I'm curious what would cost £10,000!
2. Sounds cool! I think I'd personally dial out the string sound just a tad but really REALLY nice
3. You forgot to mention you don't have a bright green pedulla anymore Good luck with the band search
4. The TC head LIES! People will tell you asap it can't possibly sound good ontop of that... The truth is TC released details later saying the head infact goes down too.... 2.36Ohms! (Or 3 cabs). Cool huh?!
5. Back when I got it the whole lot came to £450
6. MIM P bass, rosewood neck, BAII? Sounds a bit like my precision (I added a quarter pounder too). Can it be the charic signature bass instead?
7. I think this is something I would like to try and put to bed at the next EABB
8. I think the best sound I ever got out of a (relatively crappy) bass amp (torque) was with 2 x Neumann TLM103's (or one may have been a Rode NTK... I misremember) mixed with the DI mix. Sounded monstrous Saying that the post EQ di on the RH450 is pretty mad too!
9. I can kinda play bass and keyboard at the same time with a bit of practice
10. I bought my ACG because it was cheaper than a musicman that was the MAIN reason. That and I wanted something in greenburst
11. I have a cardboard box that's absolutely ideal for basses. If anyone wants it it'll be available for upto around 3 weeks. Pick up only.
12. Sorry, tripped over the flux capacitor That post that you said should show "10:06" says 10:06 to me...
13.
Yes, if you are of a curious and inquisitive nature and like to know how things work etc. We'd still live in caves if there weren't a few people in every generation like that
There's not enough caves in the UK...
14. Indeedy Maybe the scatterwound are better for accuracy? It's the sound that matters to most people.
15. The TC heads sound best if you leave them at default by most peoples accounts (I disagree though ) I'm yet to hear a BF cab I've liked but I'll keep listening out for one that does it for me
16.
Two things are certain, death and texes.
I'm an immortal pirate, arrrrr
17.
If you can find a good condition second hand unit, an AKG C(LX) 414 is a great mic to have for home recording.... lots of uses and sound great on acoustic instruments too
One of the best mics I've used!
18. The nt2 makes for a pretty good drum oh too :-)
19. I'm happy to bug you every couple of days asking how you're progressing if that'll help? I've had a friend do it for me and it helped no end
20.
The only cool rhythm guitarist I ever heard was Joe Strummer. The rest are an irrelevance and can be dispensed with forthwith. They just clutter up the sound anyway, and give it less definition. IMHO.
Dave mustaines not too shabby you know. Although he is a dick
21. I tried to find a good pic for "why I oughta!" but failed
22. ^ As above really! All purpose condenser on a budget? Look no further than the Rode - NT1A (I need one) - Just don't put it too close to a bass amp!
