1.
I've heard a story somewhat like this not that long ago - they're trying to book an act I play with so this has sorted my opinion of the venue. They're on a 'gigging blacklist' according to the acts management..? Sounds right to me!
Is this with the same place?
 2.
Just re-read the original post - on the night in question, the playing space was under the piano in this pic. M'mm. Three piece band and a party of 16? I don't think so.
Not to mention no "Mind your head sign" the pedals on the piano look like they could hurt a bit.
 3. I'd still love to find out what the reaction to Cerberus Cell would be Come on... give us a gig ... I dare you
 4.
... but not on a band night!!! :-) For what it's worth I blame the guitarist - but that's on the basis that he's a guitarist.
Blame everyone who's not a bassist, on the basis they're not bassists
 5.
I think the only catch is, you can gain access to the back panel as you can in the current version.
Suits me down to the ground, if I can't get a sound I like then no loss there
 6. If you want to give your arms a good ol' beating then songs like Stockholme Syndrome are awesome Awesome some rancid stuff is really good for that (very fun to play too), check out black lung
 7. I have an iLok anyway so fingers x'd this will work out nicely for me Cheers guys
 8.
Its really a case of a double booking isnt it. *** If they did, then they are in fact owed money at this point. If your sloppy organisation cost you money, thats actually irrelevant isnt it?
and 51mon with the first thumb down, can the restaurants recover from this stunning blow... Over to Fumps live at the scene...
 9. Ooooo stupid is catching up
 10. Lovely bass, I prefer the green one in the ad though
 11. In the red corner representing bassists everywhere for the thumb war: In the blue corner representing restaurants everywhere in the thumb war:
 12.
Let's assume, for a moment, that what you say about vibrations is correct. It may not be correct or, even if it is correct, the influence might be extremely small or even irrelevant compared to a host of other factors but nonetheless, we'll assume it is correct and of more than minimal relevance. I agree that the change could be tiny, however isn't EQ all about "tiny tweaks", however I agree that they are probably small changes. It still doesn't follow that certain species of wood are so-called 'tonewoods' and other species of wood are not so-called 'tonewoods'. Your term 'different woods' will apply to different pieces of wood of the same species just as it might apply to different species. If there is infact a change between pieces of wood then I would expect it to vary between wood of the same species aswell. Although two pieces of wood of the same species are more likely to have more "in common". It's also extremely odd that looking like a coffee table and being a great so-called 'tonewood' so often appear to be in correlation. Alder, Ash, Bubinga, Wenge, Maple, Mahogonany... none of these are coffee table woods
Just thinking outside the box a little please remember it's all just thoughts, definitely not saying I'm right
 13. Just a thought: String vibrates over a magnetic which sends a signal... Now here's were I just had a rather major thought, the wood the pickup is housed in vibrates when you play aswell, when this happens both the string and the pickup are moving so you get a different sound coming out. Different woods would vibrate in different ways/amounts surely. /UtterBollocks?
 14.
nothing wrong with having different channels... But two EQs in a row?
Think of the last EQ as a master. Use that to sculpt out common unwanted sound
 15. If you'll cover petrol cerberus cell will come play. We play nice melodic music Also, I want a popcorn smiley!
 16. Nice one Chris! Or forsaken could work nicely too :-) Actually so could Hollow Years
 17. Bohemian rhapsody might work What about schools out for summer :-P
 18.
Have you considered plugging straight into your amp with no effects at all? Hey! ...Ow! Ow! Not the face... Oww! That was a stone... stoppit! I'm going, I'm going!
That's what I do now
 19. I can't spend for a while anyway but how user friendly is the Boss? If it's a pain to use then I'll just end up selling it on, can you edit the patches from your comp?
 20.
If I was needing something like that, then I'd look at a good quality multi fx unit so you can just save patches.
Already thinking that, only problem is... which one! Needs to be easy to configure. I'd like to be able to set it all up on my computer preferably with a drag and drop interface... if that doesn't exsist.. why not?!
 21.
Much better to find pedals in each loop that you like the sound of straight off the bat
I had honestly not thought of that Although I would definitely want to keep an EQ on the Distortion channel I'm now thinking of moving the "space channel" over to the effects loop of my amp. Maybe something rackmounted like a GMajor
 22.
... which leads me to the fraught subject of finding a new house. Not just one that ticks the usual location, price, and environment boxes, but also has a ground floor layout convenient for using its biggest room as a studio.
Don't get me started... Looking to rent with the GF for the first time (already rent by myself) and arguments are already abound. She tried to say I wouldn't get a music room, I pointed out that this would be fine if she doesn't mind me practicing in the living room. I'm getting a music room now
 23.
He's eleven? Sorry - I take it back, I though he was a [s]midget[/s] little person.
