1. Not much of a guitarist at all myself but I'd recommend using a thinner pick
2. Good idea for a thread actually. I've not got around to looking but it would definitely be useful information. If anyones got any recommended promoters for metal bands it would be appreciated
3. No more for scar symmetry? It's next week (4 bands IIRC and only £10 a head)
4. THE QUESTION Could this be the only fender that BRX would like? Find out next week on... Basschat (Cue music from "soap")
5. I like it except for the reverse headstock I shouldn't though so I apologise
6. You may have to use a different eq for a wick. It's all about the low mids! Also thicker strings might help
7. Nice one dude, bringing any gear dude?
8. Bring it to the EA Bassbash, you might find a buyer :-P
9. Sorry to hear this dude Have a bump for what is IMHO one of the loveliest/maddest ACG's to date
10. Indeedy Although the events of the bash had slipped my mind a bit so I need to think of a few things to do.
11. Hey Jazz, What would you like to know mate? Would anyone be interested in some workshops / demonstrations? I'm thinking amps/basses for different styles of music with blind testing
12.
Usual disclaimer, I'll write what I think as I hear it, so this is going to be distinctly Mr Wolf, anot at all kind, in all likelihood. ... These just sound tiny from start to finish. Horrible stuff, I'd want the tracks off them and pay a decent mix engineer to rescue the project!
Good ears that man!
13. Turn your head sideways and you can see a fat ninja in the grain
14.
Last night from lead guitarist in recently formed covers band ( though I`ve known him for years, great player too )...." look, I`ve had the 7 string repaired, now there`ll be much more bottom end"........oh good....
Reverse the bass control on his amp Might as well do the volume while you're there too
15.
That's pretty brilliant service!
Yep and they last a long time too
16. Lovely bass Tip: If you're asking for collection it may help if you can state your location Good luck with the sale
17. Have just listened to the second track... sounds like somethings clipping somewhere in there. That may well be harder to fix.
18. Sounds a little bit "thin" to me. There's loads of opportunity for this to be made much more interesting from a mix perspective. I would honestly say they've been a little bit lazy with the mix. As above really, if you're able to get hold of the original audio then do and look around for someone to mix it. As with letts I'm also happy to do a bit of work for free, my reasoning being that I've just got a new system I need to get my head around again
